Mills is crap? Not what Forest fans think or me for that matter. Steady defender at this level; he'd 100% be an upgrade on Ward.

Yeah...Iv watched him on many many occasions. Mobile but brain dead. Crap.

I read that a different way. 'Whatever happens is out of my hands' is saying I didn't want to leave but had no choice.

If he has any sense then he lets his contract run down.

Couple days old, so may have been mentioned already, but Lee Williamson joined Burton Albion: http://www.burtonalbionfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/brewers-confirm-three-more-additions-to-nigel-cloughs-squad-3206024.aspx, so he managed to stick around in the Championship.

Hardly an inspiring midfielder and generally glad to see him gone, but he occasionally worked as an entirely defensive midfielder. I recall him playing quite well against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

How much was it? The sites I use say 'undisclosed''

The last few I can find was Shane Duffy two years ago. I expect they'll be looking for a return on investment soon. Might also explain why Steele remains first choice and isn't being upgraded. Cost nearly a million quid. The only chance of recovering that will be as a first team keeper.

Where did you get ~£1M from? See last line here where LT's saying £100k: http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/11763016.I_wanted_Ryan_Tunnicliffe_deal_admits_Blackburn_Rovers_boss_Gary_Bowyer/Who knows whatever the true fee may be, but that's quite a difference!

I see Tony Watt has joined somebody

Certainly has some talent and it'd be nice if we had the budget to complete that transfer as a shot in the dark, but I'll also never forget how gassed he looked after just 10 mins as a sub against Brentford (to be fair, he did nicely set up Duffy's winner that game!).

If it's an odd deal with Everton then Duffy might be staying a while if there's no serious money to be made yet. Have a season like last but iron out the regular dopey mistakes and rushes of blood as well as a few more starts for his country and he'll be worth double the 2 mill doing the rounds.

Depends who's pulling his strings though and ours for that matter.

Its telling that Simeon Jackson ended up at League One Walsall, Williamson ended up at newly promoted Burton (heavy favourites for relegation), Chris Taylor ended up at League One Bolton and as yet Chris Brown hasn't got a club.

That lot were never good enough for the Championship, let alone a club that claimed to have aspirations of getting out of it via promotion.

Been saying it for a few years now JH, we're shopping in the bargain basement, to expect promotion pushes and playoff games is living in cloud cuckoo land.

Only difference this season is we're not even shopping, we've hardly got enough players to warm the bench!

Its criminal, incompetent, amateurish and an absolute disgrace that we find ourselves in such circumstances.

Wes Brown has been a 'wonderful influence'. Where Coyle, in the treatment room? Does his bullshit know no bounds?

Under normal circumstances I'd welcome giving someone like Brown a chance to prove himself, we've lacked experience in the squad for years and he certainly brings that, but lets face it, he's never going to be fit enough for a championship season, its pre-season and he's not made the squad yet and he's got an injury!

Get him binned and move in, its sheer desperation.

Even at age 36 if Wes Brown was fit he would be nowhere near Rovers.

Coyle is just hoping to get very lucky as indeed Rovers would. Coyle has nothing to lose if it doesnt work out and meanwhile it's an excuse for no, as in yet, further decent CB or RB signings.

I do however wish Brown himself all the very best. I have always thought that he's a 'dirty' hard-man that you can only really like if he plays for your team

Coyle said Brown has other offers on the table so why is he hanging around here ?

. So OCM can spout more "we beat off a number of clubs" bullshit when he signs for us

"battling through the tough triple training sessions"

No wonder the players are getting injured, and already looking tired. No need for triple training sessions, relax, and just gradually work through short, sessions a day. Its not like training will stop come the season, but working players hard early on get be more of a problem.
