McClarky Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 If Norwich start well I can see them walking this league. Good club, we'll run, well managed and don't seem to have panicked on going down. Watch them drop like a stone now.

Iceman Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Steele Lowe Duffy Greer (if fit) Conway Evans Lenihan Feeney Marshall Bennett GrahamStill believe Conway would make a better LB based on last seasons performances.I don't have a downer on Akpan (yet) so possibly play Marshall RB and Akpan floating in the middle Not too hopeful but you never know....COYB No! Just no!
davulsukur Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Pritchard having a medical for them today. Well, this game just got a whole lot harder.
chaddyrovers Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 My team Steele Lowe Duffy Greer Henley Bennett Evans Lenihan Conway Marshall Graham Subs:- Raya, Ward, Hendrie, Apkan, Byrne, Feeney, Stokes
roversfan99 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 If a player as bad as Henley is played out of position ahead of one of Coyle's own signings then serious questions need to be asked.
Glosrover Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Seeing as coyle seems to have no concept of defending (although I struggle to imagine he'd keep Lowe out): --------------------------Steele --------------Lowe Duffy Ward Hendrie Marshall Byrne/Evans Lenihan Conway/Bennett/Feeney -------------------Graham Stokes Coyle has finally hit on a solid formation - 7 men defensive midfield set up and a 14 man team, might get a few home draws to at least. get the fans flocking back. Think the refs might notice though, and it only leaves a 3 man bench of registered squad players - looks a bit light if we get a few injuries and aren't 2 of those still goalkeepers?. PS - I do know that the hash suggests these are options..............
sharpysharps Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Can't see anything but a Norwich win here, they have retained most of their squad from last season, and the signing of Pritchard is a very good one to replace Nathan Redmond. Rovers 1 - 3 Norwich with Graham to score the consolation goal Sad times.
Neil Weaver Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Be interesting to see the attendance tomorrow. For something else, I was looking for the game about 18 months ago, a Tues evening game (so I would guess there weren't too many from Norwich) - crowd was 13530
Claytons Left Boot Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I'm venturing back into God's county on Saturday for the game. Using a friend's season ticket who's away. The intention is to do an Alfred Wainwright (RIP Alf) and, like the great man in his later years, go to the first and last home matches of the season. I'll probably not get round to going to the last match of the season. Half a Wainwright's it is then.
onlyonejackwalker Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Rovers 0 - Norwich 2. What is the problem with signing qualified full-backs? I think the obnoxious Orr was our last bona-fide right back. In the modern era especially, the full back role takes on even more importance. I'm confused as to why we do not recruit specialists in this area and plod on with makeshifts.

1864roverite Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Going to go with a 3-0 win for NORWICH Rovers just are not prepared, not good enough and the squad is nowhere near big enough
davulsukur Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Anyone dared to check out any Norwich message boards? I bet they are confident of a convincing start to the season.
The_Expert Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Going to go with a 3-0 win for NORWICH Rovers just are not prepared, not good enough and the squad is nowhere near big good enough Fixed it for you...
Neal Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Most of them think draw or Rovers win, odd person thinks a win for them. Draw isnt a bad shout.
davulsukur Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Most of them think draw or Rovers win, odd person thinks a win for them. Draw isnt a bad shout. That surprises me to be honest. The confidence on here is at an all time low. Most non Rovers fans I speak to have us down for the drop.

Because people think Lowe can be the next Gareth Bale.
Rover_Shaun Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Kean was unsackable. Now we have an Undropable? If he was alone in a room he still wouldn't be the best player in that room http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/14663500.Jason_Lowe_will_captain_Blackburn_Rovers_in_Championship_opener_if_fit_and_available/?ref=mac
G Somerset Rover Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 I wouldn't worry too much, given his injury record over the past two seasons I can't see him lasting long. Very concerning to see Corry Evans' struggling for fitness yet again when we haven't even kicked a ball yet.
sambo Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Rovers 0-2 Norwich. A tough game which will be too much for us I feel.
rovers11 Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 New manager syndrome will see us pick up a point - 1-1. Greer to be motm. My predicted team: Steele Lowe Greer Duffy Henley Feeney Akpan Byrne Bennett Marshall Graham
