West Brom have just been bought, they are no bigger club than the Rovers when in the same league and they do not have the heritage of the Rovers.

Crowd sizes are largely unimportant now with the TV money in the PL.

If they had the dosh then getting back to the PL is the only way.

All I can say is that what they have done to the town of Blackburn, people associated with our once great club and supporters all over the world is nothing short of evil. The reported sale price for West Brom was £150-200 million. WBA are debt free.

The reported sale price for Rovers only 5 years ago was £20 million, plus £20 million or so bank overdraft.

If the Trust had held on to the club for another few years, invested £10 million each year to ensure we kept clear of relegation, then the value of the club would have been much, much greater than the £20 million they got for it. Not to mention the financial rewards of the new TV deal.

I hope whoever was on the Trust is angry and disappointed that they've potentially missed out on more than £100 million on the value of the club by dumping it quickly into the hands of Indian conmen rather than hold on for a few more years, wait for more suitable buyers, and be quids in like Jeremy Peace is now.
