In the end it boiled down to the last two minutes as people were getting their coats on and leaving, "so what are we actually doing then??". Seems like the 18/75 protest won out in the end. I'm on board anyway, what's the worst that could happen?

Keep an eye on Sky Sports News, they were interviewing Birdy during the break and another chap too.

I thought the guy who was going on at the end was right in what he said regarding we need to come away from this with a clear plan. Spot on.

However, it was slightly hypocritical when earlier in the night he said he worked in the media industry and someone asked if he could do something, he then said 'No, I would lose everything' then closed the night with 'Somebody needs to put their bol*ocks on the line'

Was that definitely the same person? (I couldn't see from the back)

Un-coordinated protests here and there by a smattering of people is a waste of time.

3,000 plus on the pitch and bring the game to a halt - Sky might notice that.

A "Stuart" said something about sky making us look bad, all tied up in the agents pockets (assuming it wasn't our Stuart!) but maybe stuff that disrupts the game like that could be painted as negative? We only want the owners to know, we don't want games calling off in case it costs points etc - like birdy said we don't want to go down even if it's looking unavoidable!

That thought might not matter though as things would be reactive at a match protest - if we are 3-0 with 15 gone, all hell could break loose.

Bet our friend from Barnet is getting his pundits lined up just in case the spotlight falls on Venky's project partners

I was there and feel that the only thing lacking was a full definitive outcome instead of a partial one (I was the young whippersnapper who got up and mentioned the whistles).

Personally, I think the outcome should be dead simple:

Target the Wolves and very simply protest as extremely as you are willing.

If your limit is whistles, do it.

If you have banners, bring.

If you want to enter and leave on 18 and 75, do it.

If you want to stay outside the ground all day chanting, do it.

If you want to throw a chicken on.the pitch, do it.

If you want to run on the pitch, do it.

Let's just cause havoc. Remember ANY disruption to the Wolves game will impact Sky TV and their schedule. Get their attention.

No, no, no.

We need to coordinate or we will not be effective. It's no good everyone doing their own thing. Yes, your suggestions are sound but there needs to be a strategy. For example: Game 1 - 18/75, Game 2 - whistles, etc

I actually thought it was 'BRFCC Stuart' (with him being quite eloquent and follicly challenged), until I got home and checked on here.

Excuse my unrealistic expectations, I've only been waiting for 3yrs for this happen and in reality nothing was agreed when it could have been.

But its a step forward.

You are excused. :P

For 5 years these people have been shooting each other down in terms of the best approach. Tonight they were sat around the same table, with the same end goal in mind.

Disappointed that there wasnt a set of actions, but at least we have some clarity that all fans are behind this. Some wont boycott, some will but would never do anything illegal like going on the pitch.

There is a delegation going to India and an onus to try and get the media on board.

What needs to happen quickly is for some teams to be assembled to target specific aims like:

Raising funds

Delegation to Pune team

Other India ideas team

Ongoing protest at Ewood team

Social / all media targetted team

If people want to help out with any of these then contact the Rovers Trust, Oz off here, Birdy etc....

A second meeting needs to be set for after the Wolves game (not same day) to try and get these groups together.

Correct Preston Blue Wayne Wild looked totally peed off.

I wouldnt suggest anyone be running on the pitch cos you will fined and banned. Also some people jobs could be affected by having a crimical record

Wayne Wild had the mic at the start and the opportunity to control the meeting. I am suprised that he apparently chose not to.

He may be a very good resource though if he can share some contacts from within, we have to respect that if he's in a position that could be jeapordised by being front and central he may not be able to do that.

You only have to look at the way Glen said it affected him to see the strain it could have on someone

Nah, wasn't me. I wondered if a few might have thought it was though!

I had my hand up for the last 30 minutes with proposals to move the meeting and the campaign forward, I was told I would be asked to speak but had to listen to some pillock accusing two Asian guys of being Venky stooges.....you could not make it up.

For god sake.

I understand that, but then he can't go within the space of a couple of hours from saying that to then asking someone else to put their goolies on the line.

Not true.

If every time the game restarted, someone else invaded the pitch it would cause a huge delay to the game. Once they had been removed , someone else goes on a couple of minutes later and stops the game.

You don't need 3000, just about 30 who don't care about the criminal aspect and any effect on their jobs. You'd need people in several stands as the stewards would just one the Darwen End if they all came from there.

You've nothing to lose at work. You can go first Jim.

They couldn't remove 3,000 - the game would be called off.

Too old now. Did my bit 40 years ago. Over to you if you really care .............

There was someone in the meeting urging for such action at Ewood and I think the same guy suggested this type of action should also be taken by Rovers fans at PL grounds.

No one in the area I was sat agreed with pitch invasion.

Well I sat with Preston Blue and Tom, had a chat with Ste B, Scotty, Paul and Bob Fleming, we could have been in Blues Bar setting up BRISA circa 2004

BRISA's birth was well organised but had no crisis to sustain it, whereas we are certainly in crisis now, but boy do we need some better organisation!

After a ropey start, I felt we were getting somewhere; some great speakers, plenty of willing volunteers and much support for the idea of a working group being set up...

Then I feel the MC totally lost control; it was approaching 9pm and person after person was still being given the mic, often going over the same ground, when what was needed was a recap of where we were, what we've agreed and a way forward for the next month or so, instead it descended into a shouting match and abruptly ended.

Still, great to see a packed out venue and I just hope we now have enough momentum .
