The only factor that would possibly make Venky's flinch from yesterday is the size of the crowd.

They won't hear the chants in Pune (you could barely hear the 'Venky's Out' chants in the ground).

I think they will see the new logo when I post it to them

The media won't turn on us because they don't care.

In any case, it's a natural reaction to call for the manager's head when a team is bottom of the league.

The sickening thing is that Coyle can't lose. He can paint himself as an innocent victim.

Whilst it's obvious what the root cause of our predicament is, we would not be in this position had Warnock been appointed.

Coyle is here to stay unfortunately , talk of Warnock is pie in the sky !

Unless , something drastic happens in the next 10 days we will down in all but name by the next window....

I suspect the Wolves game will be very tasty !

Completely agree. The owners aren't going to pay up Coyle and his crew and then hire another manager and backroom staff. With four or five decent signings we might just fluke survival but without new signings then we haven't a hope of staying in the Championship with the present squad. We are conceding plenty and not scoring very many - the classic recipe for relegation. Sadly, Coyle seems unable to address either issue thus far.

It's about as depressing as it gets when after four games we can all see nothing but relegation - and with an air of acceptance.

Simply because those who continue to cause this just aren't listening.

The main reason we survived last season was our defensive strength. Only conceding 40 odd league goals all last season meant we were able to grind out plenty of results even when we weren't playing well or didn't have many goals in the team.

When Lambert left the priority should have been to maintain that good defence and then build on that going forward. With our weak squad and no budget to strengthen we should have had a plan from the outset to play to our strengths from last season. Other teams with limited resources and a lack of quality have been able to get results in this league against the so called better sides. See Birmingham, Ipswich and Rotherham last season as examples.

Instead the 'powers that be' at this football club couldn't wait to offload the linchpin of that defence and club captain, have made it very clear that the other regular CB from last season isn't wanted at the club and is for sale, and have refused to strengthen in that area. The result being that yesterday we had an 18 year old making his senior debut along with a 35/36 year old at CB, a central midfielder with question marks over his ability playing at RB and quite possibly the worst LB i have ever seen playing only because Adam Henley is injured.

The result of all this, combined with then appointing Owen Coyle as manager, who in his career over 4 clubs in England has shown he is incapable of organising a team or setting up a defence, means that we are now leaking soft goals all over the place. Which is suicide for a team as short on quality as this one.

There's no way we would have conceded goals like we've seen against Cardiff, Wigan and Burton if Neil Warnock was manager. It wouldn't happen because he knows how to set a team up defensively. Unfortunately overlooking his availabilty in favour of Coyle so we could save a few quid on the backroom staff will probably be what sees us go down to League One. Another brilliant decision from the 'decision makers' (whoever they might be).

Spot on. The day Coyle was appointed our fate was effectively sealed.

Nail on the head there chief. If you wanted the club to get relegated, this is how you'd do it. Sell your best players, bring in significantly worse players, hire a manager who is a specialist in failure (sorry Jose, I'm stealing that one) and continue to treat fans with the utmost contempt in order to further reduce an already small crowd to the lowest levels in 26 years.

All we can do is pray that the owners are somehow brought to account before we no longer have a club left to support.

Not sure what you mean by change in mood gumboots. I remember it being pretty pessimistic on here in July, and it's even more so now. If you mean the renewed vigour on trying to oust Venky's, it's a combination of our appalling start to the season and recent leaked documents from the Kean/Agnew era. With our fanbase continuing to diminish, this surge is probably our last shot at a sustained attack from the supporters before there simply aren't enough left to matter.
