I wonder how much Coyle has made in payouts in his last few jobs ?

Must be nice to retire early with all that dosh.

I think that is what makes me so angry. That SEM/Crescendo, Kentaro stooges like Kean and Coyle will take money just to purvey a charade, defend the indefensible, seek to persuade us that black is white and insult our intelligence.

Remarkable substitutions from Coyle the absolute tit. The fans are embarrassing, clapping at the whistle, it's cringeworthy.

Agree about the substitutions, disagree completely with your remarks about the fans. Given we'd lost our first three games and whilst there are obviously glaring deficiencies in certain areas I thought it was a much improved overall display which should have brought three points. There were also excellent performances from youngsters Wharton and Gallagher.

So whilst it was desperately disappointing to throw away 2 points at the end there were some signs of encouragement today and I thought there was nothing wrong at all with fans clapping at the end if they wanted to.

Lots of viewers, but strangely quiet on here.

We all know the reasons behind the last six years decline, but last summers decision not to back Lambert and sell or release half the squad is the final nail. There's no recovery from this point under the current owners. They HAVE to leave. There isn't one shred of hope with them.

Agree with you Rev, a much better game to watch and one we should've won.

Gallagher looks good and Wharton didn't shame himself today.

Thought Marshall looked more like his old self and Conway was rightly given MOM, and his goal was a cracker.

Thought Byrne and Akpan were pretty poor and we looked a bit better when Lenihan came on.

Overall, quite an enjoyable game to watch with a lot more pride shown from those in the Blue and White.

Look why don't you give it a rest? I don't see any posts having a poke at the fans who have chosen to boycott. There wasn't any real clapping at the end, quite a lot of booing or just silence as people simply left.

The support today was for the team and nothing else. Not the board, the manager, the owners. In my time watching Rovers the fans have always supported the team.

I am not going to have a dig at anyone who chooses to stay at home but please return that respect. If you can't respect the decisions of other fans then it would be better to remain silent.

You look at the squad today filled out with 5 academy players and several young lad cheap loanees and see exactly what the plan is here. They've purposely created that situation and it will continue and it won't matter a jot to them what league we are in whilst this plan is in motion.

Wharton played very well in my opinion, and other than him, Byrne, Gally and Conway's absolutely amazing, fantastic, outstanding goal there was very little to shout about.

Ultimately the results don't matter

venkys out

Sounds all too predictable after the subs. If you take off your main outlet (Graham) and the only midfielder comfortable on the ball (Byrne) the chances are you'll have less of the ball and invite pressure.

If one was cynical it could be argued it was deliberate.

Firstly - did you go today ?

Only my opinion - Graham looked a shadow of the player from last season (and I am a big fan) - so can understand why he was taken off.

Lenihan for Byrne - as Byrne had gone missing for large parts of the second half - hardly a surprising substition. Also - Lenihan is a better bet when they are launching it long - than Byrne because of his size.

They will soon change the plan when they realise it might be the young lads who could keep us up, despite them shoehorning the stand out candidate to get us relegated in

Agree with you about Akpan but I thought Byrne did quite well at times and was surprised when he was substituted.

The main Achilles heel is still in both full back positions we still look desperately vulnerable when teams attack us down either flank. Steele is worrying me as well, the communication between him and his defence is non existent on his part leading to innocuous situations becoming dangerous and as I think Preston Blue pointed out last week he appears to carry the ball out of the area every time he takes a goal kick.

Fact is, a relegation rival nailed on for a relegation scrap, has gone behind twice and twice recovered, in our own stadium.

I've not seen it, so maybe harsh to suggest; if we can't beat sides of this ilk at Ewood, we're heading for the trap door.

Though I agree Burton are a poor side - they are also the same side that beat Wednesday mid-week. When you have a referee letting them get away with whatever they wanted - there was always a chance that we would be hit by a sucker punch.

In truth we had enough break aways to put this game to bed - the fact we didn't is the most worrying thing.

The only bright side - it was the first match I have come away with any positives - though they were few,

Yep they'll whack Henley back in as soon as he's fit and Duffy if he has to stay plus a crap old freebie or 2 from somewhere.

Thought both full backs looked a little better today - and the cover they got from midfield was far better.

I have defended Lowe in the past - and today thought he was fairly solid defensively (without being spectacular) - but what is his aversion to passing forward ?

I take it you weren't there today Jason.. Graham was very very disappointing again and was rightly taken off.

I didn't agree with the two other subs but I wouldn't say they contributed directly to the equaliser. We weren't really under any sustained pressure at any point but the defence collectively switched off to concede a very soft goal.

He's not good enough to do the forward slotted pass from midfield to a on running forward. He's not an average midfielder he's a poor one.

Mate says he can't believe we scored 2 goals Rev, we had no threat going forward and our defense is league 2 standard?

But the Stella in the Brown Cow was ok.

No I didn't go, I'm boycotting as you well know but good on you for attending. By the way, what's your opinion on the leaked dicunents? Only ask as you're generally a regular poster on most threads yet I don't recall too much reaction from you on this.

Anyway, Tom commented on Byrne's substitution earlier in the thread - he went to the game. So, in my opinion, if you've no ball playing midfielder there's more chance you'll bypass midfield and Graham is the man to hit so strange he was hooked.

So, what you're saying is that we needed to get as many defensive minded players on the pitch late on? At home? Against Burton Albion?

Fair enough.
