Leeds averaged 39000 in the Premier League. 23,000 now.

Pompey average 12000 a couple of seasons ago in League 1. Their crowds only went back up when the owners left.

Both Leeds and Pompey didn't line agents and coaches pockets the way these lot have done.

No point in handing good money over for bad.

Sure they are now getting 16,000 in league two Under fan ownership

Under the previous owners it had dropped from 19k full house every week to 12000. They were walking away just like we are. They came back once the plague had been removed.

As for the game...

We're pony.

It's quiet clear that despite best efforts and angst on here the vast majority of fans don't have a clue about the history and shenanigans of recent years.

Despite the leaking of 3 year old documents in the last week, we need to find other ways rather more effective rather than just on BRFCC, cause frankly theres about 30 posters and a dog who are listening.

And as harsh as that sounds / is, I'm afraid that's where we're at.

And before anyone says - what do you suggest bob?

How's about an elevator pitch?

Don't go on Tuesday or against wolves they say. Protest outside. Go on then, you've 20 to 30 seconds to convince them. Unfortunately no one is able to articulate it.

And for the record... Venkys Out. More to the point - their Agents out.

And feck The FA. A bloody disgrace. Well done Coar.

Yep. Got to that conclusion myself. Went down today expecting a roar - the most hostile atmosphere since Kean. I was so disappointed I can't put it into words.

As said, I truly and honestly understand the boycotting supporters, but from my own point of view I wish I had more support in my anti-venky sentiments today. Sadly I think that support would have come from the 3/4 thousand from the BBE that have decided to boycott since the current owners have come in. Yet I can fully understand their reasons for staying away and, after only 2 games back, I walked away wondering whether I'll go back: I came to the conclusion I will, but I wonder how many times I can walk away questioning my commitment before I, too, finally resign myself to not. I feel so detached from the club right now it's devastating.

Agree Bob. And that's where a good local reporter on a supportive local paper comes in.

I feel low tonight, really low. I thought we had some momentum, I thought there was a togetherness and a common goal amongst us but there's still the same ignorance among the majority. Hell, there's even the same ignorance among posters on here with all the information pretty much at hand - it's beyond sad.

Someone said earlier that there's fans that don't want to know of any negatives as long as there's a team in blue and white halves running out at Ewood once a fortnight. Unfortunately by supporting the current regime they're moving closer to the day that won't ever happen again.

LD - We won't be giving up. We need to share/spread the word.

BRAG - Organise the demo and of course boycotters come back to protest outside.

I'd have liked your post but apparently i've used up my "quota for positives votes for the day"

The difference between Leeds and Portsmouth is they have figures in the exec boxes to point at, you could shout until your lungs explode but it wont be heard in India, other means of hurting them must be explored.

If you're comfortable with handing your money over then get on with it, 1000's of other fans aren't and for good reason.

I'm also ashamed of many of our fans, unwilling to show passion or fight for the cause and its one of the reasons I also dont attend because for my own well being I would end up in bother with our lot like I have in the past. Let me be clear, this isn't ALL but MANY of our supporters, I protested years ago and learned a lot about them back then and many are still the same.

To be positive for a moment, I feel much better about what has been happening in the past few weeks and how most of us on here have come together... I never thought i'd say this but I think BRFCC is one of the only sane sanctuaries left regarding Rovers these days... God help us.

I don't know what to say D of 95, LD.

The LT is a joke mate. Insipid.

I've had a few today. Like you guys, and most on here, I'm so despondent right now.

Good times / bad times. Right now the latter is having a laugh.

But... As I said to my mates last night, I was there before them (Venkys), I'll be there long after them.

Cause they're a set of aresholes.

And WE are the Rovers.

both leeds and pompey did line agents pockets more than rovers

FFS what are you prattling on about. BRFC has been run by agents, for agents for the last 6 fecking years. No thoughts on league position or fan feeling just cash into their filthy pockets regardless of the devastation caused.

That's the difference.

Divided fan base.. What we have left that is thanks to venkys and their friends.. Again anyone happy with a poor home draw against the mighty Burton Albion must be on a different planet.. We have players not fit to wear the shirt players wanting away a manager who hasn't a clue tactically oh and the Messi like Jason Lowe as captain. You just couldn't make this up

Would a demo outside the ground make any difference?

I'm actually now inclined to think it would... If "they" doesn't care if no fans turned up, why is this fans meeting going ahead with cheston?

They need to appear the fans with disinformation and platitudes and empty promises. Because the fans are needed at the ground to support the established narrative that Rovers are down on their luck.

Presumably with an empty stadium there wouldn't be too much discomfiture in India, but there perhaps would be in the Ewood corridors.

I'm just thinking out Loud here.

There are hardly any voices against Venkys left in the ground... Well there are... Like the fella who tried to to protest today, got abuse, spoke up and then you called him a prick.

There were lots of things in D of 1995's post I didn't agree with, so the disparaging remark might not necessarily have been over his want to protest

sad but true but they can never take away your heart and your love for a football team and a town, behind glen, and one day we will over come, believe me our day will come

Rishton said it was because he called out the Rovers fans, I dont blame him for calling them out and certainly dont think he should be called a prick for doing so. The rest of his post was just his views on the game, nothing wrong with that.
