Jock Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Stats read that Fulham scored one more than Rovers. Table reads that Rovers are bottom.

Backroom Mike E Posted August 27, 2016 Backroom Posted August 27, 2016 To SKHT and ACOB, I don't 'disagree with the stats', nor am I in 'denial'. I just expressed surprise that the stats do not reflect what I felt I had seen. Actively disagreeing with a factual statistic, I agree, is deluded.
Al Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 According to BBC nothing less than Fulham deserved. @#/?!
donnermeat Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 We did ok, up until the final third. We didn't build any meaningful attack. Woeful attacking play. The same offensive tactic as has always been the last few years - either long ball or hoping Conway cuts inside and finds someone in the box (granted tactic number 3 in the last few years has been give it to Marshall in the hope that he dribbles/does something on his own, but that was never going to happen today). Fulham look a nothing team without Cairney, thought he ran it today.
West Yorks Rover Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Talking about Rovers on 606 now Only caught the backend, but some guy was talking very well about our plight to Savage and his mate.

I'll never forget under Bowyer a couple of seasons back our centre halves and midfield knocking forty odd passes back and forward to each other and never once getting into the opposition half. Derby at home I think it was. Must have looked great on the possession stats that. However as Jock rightly points out the only stat that matters is the one that says we have one point from five games.
Paul Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Why? Have you not heard any anti Burnley chants before? See Mike E's response. The protests will only be effective if the owners are targeted - not the team or manager.
RevidgeBlue Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 See Mike E's response. The protests will only be effective if the owners are targeted - not the team or manager. Added to that, to target Coyle for abuse because he is allegedly a Burnley **** is moronic anyway. Call him not good enough, say he has to be replaced but for better or for worse he's our manager now, not theirs. Looks like it's for worse but that's not the point.
Al Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Felt for the new boys especially, Williams put a real shift in and looked like a left back which is saying something. Moments before the goal Feeney had the ball in their corner and tried a silly trick and lost it which ultimately led to the goal Feeney is a complete disaster and should never wear the shirt again but Coyle brought him in and will play him.
Mike Graham Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 Added to that, to target Coyle for abuse because he is allegedly a Burnley **** is moronic anyway. Call him not good enough, say he has to be replaced but for better or for worse he's our manager now, not theirs. Looks like it's for worse but that's not the point. Exactly. Coyle may not be very good but he is not the target and should never be the target. I just had the pleasure of meeting up with Gav and Debs. Great to see you bud.

West Yorks Rover Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Some guy = Glen Mullan My apologies to Glen, I didn't here the introductions, but thought he sounded familiar from his previous calls. Well done to him, he spoke very well as I stated.
Backroom Mike E Posted August 27, 2016 Backroom Posted August 27, 2016 Will I be able to listen retrospectively? Was caught up in an errand :/
Backroom DE. Posted August 27, 2016 Backroom Posted August 27, 2016 Greer should be captain, no question. To be fair, by the sounds of it he basically is captain in all but name. Can't help but think Lowe's "captaincy" is just an excuse to select him for every match, trying to increase the value of a home-grown product that may yield some £££. You really are wringing the last few drops out of player sales when you're trying to make Lowe a sellable asset, though.

rovers11 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Anyone know what Kenny Dalglish was doing at the game today? Is he a scout nowadays?
Amo Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 But but but Mercer said this was a nailed on Rovers win!
mustard Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Anyone know what Kenny Dalglish was doing at the game today? Is he a scout nowadays? Probably despairing at what he saw.
johnradfordsubbuteo Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Just settled down with the telegraph crossword to cheer myself up. Spoiler alert for 3 down: "Manager sacked as clearly mad". Answer? Sam Allardyce The world conspires against us thus at every turn.

G Somerset Rover Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Graham looks overweight to me. Too many of Coyle's doughnuts?
