[Archived] Meeting With The Club - Brfcs Attendees ?

I wouldn't even address any questions to Lynsey or Owen.

Pointless.

Did they actually say Owen Coyle or The Manager?

In fact the framework says the meeting should not include on pitch and day to day issues.

Ian, Mike says he didn't employ Owen.

Did you employ him?

Was it your idea or who told you to?

Do you personally think he was the outstanding candidate?

Bob, can you please explain what you do at the club and what is your salary?

Bob, please can you explain if Venkys are investigating selling Brockhall and what covenants exist to prevent this happening?

What do you personally think about it?

Mike, when was the last time you personally spoke to the owners?

Why do they not attend games?

Why do they not communicate with fans?

What do you personally think about these issues ?

Ian, same questions to you..

Pasha, same questions to you..

Pasha, are the Raos interested in selling the club? Please place it on record that we want them to sell the club as soon as possible.

What kind of hard-hitting questions are the advocates of attending the EFL's little ruse thinking of asking? And why do people think the meeting will be allowed to be filmed?

It's general knowledge that our owners are incompetent. Likewise that our board are just puppets, unable to influence anything meaningful, especially with regards to 'Venkys Out'. Highlighting the fact for the millionth time achieves what exactly? The press already know, the fans already know.

Why not highlight the fact that the regulatory bodies have failed BRFC instead, and not turn up to a meeting organised by them that they won't even attend? Then all the groups who failed to show can release a statement giving a very big nod to things like 3rd party ownership, 3rd party player ownership, the role of agents in the destruction of BRFC, the failure of the FA and EFL to protect Rovers from those abuses, and their failure to save us from 'unfit and proper s**t' owners. The important stuff.

Let's at least exert a little pressure on the regulatory bodies. They've got away with aiding and abetting the murder of a football club(s).

I'll take that one! I very much doubt, in fact it's almost certain, that they wouldn't allow it, despite the higher level of interest in this meeting than normal. But as you say in that final paragraph, which I 100% agree with, it's all about trying to exert pressure wherever possible.

As for the FA not turning up, again, very highly probable, and again, it'll add a bit more pressure on them. We're a basket case of a club, you'd think they'd be itching to come along to this meeting. It wouldn't look good if they turned down an invite. Same with the LT.

Why a poll ? Its not going to stop the meeting happening.

Theres people talking to each other about getting a more unified approach to the meeting.

Why a poll? I thought it was blatantly obvious, but if we are electing / recommending / agreeing on 5 people to attend a meeting from BRFCS, representing BRFCS, surely those 5 people should be saying what the majority of BRFCS want to be said?

It may be me - in which case I apologise... but doesn't that make absolute, perfect sense?

it isn't convenient. Too much at stake. Please stop asking. You won't be told again.

The Trust.

Do you really think that the people attending are not going to be reading this and know exactly what people want to be said ?

When have the likes of Glen M ever not said what they think ? Give us some credit.

Participants at the meetings:-

Supporters who are all democratically elected as follows: (or a combination of both)

o Directly elected individuals for the purpose of the SR1

o through the recognised supporters2 group they are representing

Surely if that's the case then theres no problem with a poll? At least that way you'll have concrete evidence what the majority want, what the second majority want and what a minority want?

To be absolutely clear, as far as I am concerned the 5 people elected to represent BRFCS should be doing exactly what the majority of BRFCS have voted for. Whether that's boycotting, reading a statement of no confidence or telling Cheston how well he is doing.

Without a poll there is absolutely no way in which the 5 elected people can be 100% sure what they are saying is a true reflection on what the members of BRFCS feel. They may have a good idea, but they can never be 100% sure and can never provide evidence.

The meeting should happen and those who are representing this messageboard are the right people to have at the meeting

Exactly Ste, The people who will representing this messageboard know exactly what people views are and will be good in the meeting as they will asked the tough question. I'm comfortable with the people chosen to be in the meeting

I volunteered for the WAR cabinet, had to send a CV in,

No CV no wristband :)

I am sat here waiting in anticipation of an appointment for the psychometric test.

Did you really have to send a CV?

If it's a joke I 60% fell for it 😉

Andy, Chaddy - that's great, glad you both had opinions. Let's have a poll and you guys can vote on the above.

Give it a few days, find out what the majority vote - and go with that decision. I personally think we shouldn't be attending and going ahead with their usual questions, however as a member of BRFCS assuming that's what the majority of the other members want I'm happy to roll with it.

Ste has already said the meeting is happening.

Poll would be pointless now
