I find it flabbergasting that the FA, EFL, Premier League suddenly find the morality and time to investigate a 2 minute video clip that was a set up of a manager who was stupid enough to try and make a quick buck, yet they had neither the time, interest or morality to investigate what has happened at Ewood, founder members of the football league, premier league and at the time an established Premier league club.

Talk about double standards, Sam should have employed an agent who had better connections with the FA, he would have been just fine then.

Which is precisely why protest should be shifted towards the FA, where we could potentially make an impact!

This has been discussed and should I hope be planned the authorities should also be held accountable as we know they where informed about it all.

It's also tangible, it's people here and we could swell support by including other clubs and fans.

As opposed to "ousting" four Indians, 5000 miles away who may or may not even own the club!

The FA has the power to change things, why won't they? Hands in the till?

Agree and also the EFL is right on our doorstep at Preston with plenty of clubs ruined by bad owners quite local, BRFC, Leeds, Blackpool, to name but a few

Just look at the clubs mentioned in that sting ten years ago or whatever it was - Pompey, Bolton - look what happened to them! Shunned by the league and bodies to keep stuff quiet.

It's time to change our direction of protest towards those dicks with the responsibility of looking after our beautiful game!

So let's get this right you call avoiding the ha pp c swear filter as a case of banning me yet you call the (rightly to be fair) FA "dicks"! Mmmm mr opposite is now mr inconsistent

Its been going on here since 2010. At Coventry since 2007. At Leeds since 2008. Portsmouth since 2008. Blackpool since 2012. That's five once proud and successful football clubs that have been wrecked, humiliated, run down and led into financial strife over periods of up to nearly 10 years. All 5 clubs are at the centre of their sporting communities. One-club towns and cities that have put their regions on the map, central to their communities and local businesses yet the authorities have sat by and done FA about it.

All of a sudden some undercover journalists take the time to catch 2-3 silly managers/coaches and motormouth Cellino saying things that aren't nice to hear and they have the audacity to come high and mighty about their concerns.

Shame they weren't concerned about 'integrity' in English football when sanctioning a hedge fund buying Coventry, when sanctioning chicken farmers buying Rovers whilst heavily involved with a 3rd party, when sanctioning a man with criminal convictions buying Leeds, and the assortment of people who've had their hands on Portsmouth over the years.

Seems their 'integrity' only applies when trouble and evidence lands on their doorstep and the media kick up a fuss about it. No evidence in their laps or no pressure from the media = nothing back from the FA.

Saying that is all well and good but it isn't for the FA to intervene when, with the benefit of hindsight, individual Club owners start to run Clubs badly (or very badly in our case.)

If someone clueless or who was only interested in lining their own pockets rocked up at Turf Moor or Old Trafford we'd all be delighted wouldn't we? I certainly wouldn't want the FA diving into save them because they were being run badly and weren't doing so well.

The logical extension to this is that the FA could also intervene if they thought a Club they didn't like was doing too well and was upsetting the status quo.

Not sure what the answer is, clubs have to be left to live or die by their own competence or otherwise at the end of the day. Maybe the Authorities could threaten to withhold the registration of a Club where they really don't like the look of what is going on but I doubt that would hold up in a Court of Law. It would also lead to Clubs going out of business unless there were alternative owners with sufficient readies waiting in the wings ready to take over straight away.

I could understand that if the people concerned were whiter than white when buying the clubs and there was absolutely no reason to suspect foul play at work. However in the cases of ourselves, Pompey, Cov and Leeds it was blatantly obvious in advance of the takeovers happening that funny business was going on and that the people concerned perhaps shouldn't be allowed to take over pillars of the local community.

On the surface maybe Venkys weren't suspect in themselves. Legitimate businesspeople, no criminal past etc, but any digging would have seen that there was a 3rd party at work with ulterior motives. We all knew on here that the 3rd party was heavily involved before the takeover was completed, yet it was allowed to happen regardless.

Likewise they knew in advance that a hedge fund was trying to buy Coventry. I can't believe anyone would expect that an arrangement whereby a hedge fund of anonymous 'investors' running a once proud football club would ever be good.

They knew in advance that Cellino had a criminal conviction, yet they stood by and allowed that one to go through.

It is their responsibility to stop these people where possible. Otherwise why bother with the whole 'fit and proper' process?
