till i die Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 If anyone knows a farmer with land on either side of the M65 a 40 ft trailer with the mural on it parked in a field next to it would get seen not just by thousands daily but by a lot of away fans as they approach Blackburn.

Amo Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 If anyone knows a farmer with land on either side of the M65 a 40 ft trailer with the mural on it parked in a field next to it would get seen not just by thousands daily but by a lot of away fans as they approach Blackburn. And no more softly softly approach. After this, these @#/?s need shaming.
Dreams of 1995 Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 It should be made public knowledge that BRFC have blocked the mural. Very much them against us, as we know. It's a shame some can't see. Is there any other walls in the area?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 The boys in Blue calling on fans at home and now being involved in this....are we living in a Police state now? Like others have stated turn this against Rovers, the Police and the Council....sod 'em all. Furious
JWUpper Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Just off the top of my head...what about approaching the building that's (I think) empty on the road up to the ground that has the dodgy neon lights inside, at the corner of Bolton road and Calico street? Still within relative spitting distance of the ground...according to google maps (not sure how accurate that is) the people that own it are t-shirt printers...could even ask them if we could print venkys out tshirts through them in exchange for using the wall space? Would bring them in a lot of free publicity and endear them to most of he locals, and in turn potentially help their business?
MGAndy Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 End terrace house on Nutall street right across from club shop at BBE. Knock on door and ask if we can paint side of their house. Bet they say...ok. Huge blank canvas...i mean wall
Backroom Mike E Posted October 26, 2016 Backroom Posted October 26, 2016 What about one of those driven advertising boards? Park it wherever one fancies.
USABlue Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Just goes to show they, the venks, have eyes and ears amongst us. Them vs US for sure. Prats. So what will they do now, give Coyle a contract extension?
perthblue02 Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Quite liking the idea of a list of shame somewhere, as well as the project and it's partners can list all the collaborators past and present who rode/ are riding the Ewood gravy train and playing their part in destroying Jacks legacy
MGAndy Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 What about one of those driven advertising boards? Park it wherever one fancies. Like the one permanently parked on the motorway roundabout at Darwen...
Speedie Dived Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 You can hire out mobile digital screens for around £2k, have more than one message, drive it around, leave it on any land with permission.
Jock Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 What about one of those driven advertising boards? Park it wherever one fancies.Park it all week except match days when it could be driven around Ewood. Would have to have perfect tyres and brakes though. The police would be all over it. They're efficient like that .
unsall Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 It should be made public knowledge that BRFC have blocked the mural. Very much them against us, as we know. It's a shame some can't see. Is there any other walls in the area? . Let's get it right Thwaites have blocked the mural....
perthblue02 Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 . Let's get it right Thwaites have blocked the mural.... Wait for the chain of events to come out maybe? Lets see which of the Venkys collaborators contacted them, but yes bottom line Thwaites have blocked the mural.Which reminds me of this story. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/thwaites-brewery-sign-lights-changed-3059037
Jock Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 . Let's get it right Thwaites have blocked the mural.... After some squealing little baby got on the phone to them.
Baz Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 I'd be interested to see the reason that BRFC gave for making a complaint to the police.
unsall Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 After some squealing little baby got on the phone to them. Might have saved Dereks job as landlord,if that had gone ahead without permission could see Thwaites coming down heavily, and possibly Derek being kicked out.
Jock Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Might have saved Dereks job as landlord,if that had gone ahead without permission could see Thwaites coming down heavily, and possibly Derek being kicked out.I take your point but what a landmark it could have been. They could have loads of new customers.
Dunnfc Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Not the only thing to have stopped. Apparently a few fans have had warnings if they intend to leaflet drop.
mhead Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 So WAR needs to petition Thwaites. The Raos do not drink in Blackburn as far as I know. What about a boycott of Thwaites?
unsall Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 I take your point but what a landmark it could have been. They could have loads of new customers. Agree was in a prime location, but Thwaites were never going to agree to it,think the guy who mentioned a 40ft trailor in a field adjacent M65 would have been a better bet,all these mentioning someone's house gable end near Ewood, would fail, planning permission needed, unless your in Belfast where it seems every gable end has some sectarian message, but this is Blackburn, back to the drawing board...
Gav Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Not the only thing to have stopped. Apparently a few fans have had warnings if they intend to leaflet drop. Warned about what?
perthblue02 Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 The beer contract at Ewood is up for grabs in 2017, I wonder
