The truth is out! This could explain how Coyle got the job and is immovable as Krispy Kreme doughnuts are opening in Blackburn. Now I understand Chestons 'outstanding candidate' comment.

Coyle on Radio Lancs this morning - he wants to discuss a new contract with Ben Marshall! What a tool. There's not a cat in hells chance of it being signed.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/14582385

5 years on and exactly the same drivel being spouted. Marshall will walk out of BRFC in 6 months time and straight into a mid-table Championship club with aspirations of a top 6 push. He's never kicked on quite as he should here - I really rated him before his daft injury on the Riverside touchline.

Problem with him is I can't sort out his best position. I appreciate he has done okay at right back, but I think he's talented and creative enough to be a real game changer in between midfield and attack. A bit like a poor man's Lallana if you like.

Anyway, as of June 2017 he won't be doing it at Ewood Park, that's for sure.

Only a couple of weeks ago he was saying that the offer was with Marshall's agent and he was waiting for a yes or no answer as to whether he would be signing it. Now he wants to discuss a new contract with him? Shouldn't it be the other way round?

He's constantly stalling and buying himself more time. Trying to keep people hanging on for a few more weeks meanwhile our chances of survival get slimmer and slimmer. I think he knows that he's not going anywhere and he's not even coming up with even sensible attempts to keep the fans on side.

He must not realise that we've been through this and seen all this before. Its the exact same scenario as the Junior Hoilett situation. We all know that Marshall won't be staying, I don't think for one minute that the club/owners want him to stay and contrary to Coyle's lies they haven't made a serious improved offer to try and keep him. We'll find that out when Marshall's getting unveiled at Brighton or Fulham in January and he'll confirm that the club made no attempt to keep him. Coyle is dragging it on by the week in some naïve attempt to try and keep some small percentage of fans dangling. The only thing Cheston is interested in is whether they can get a couple of hundred grand in for him in January rather than lose him for nowt in the summer.

Marshall falls into the same boat here as the Cairney's and King's. Undoubted talent that many other Championship clubs would happily have in their squad who for a number of reasons hasn't lived up to his potential in recent times here. With a decent manager at a club that makes him feel wanted he'll push on to bigger and better things whilst we flounder and plummet to new depths. I'm convinced that one of the primary reasons for his poor form has been the behaviour of this club, which has made no serious attempt to keep him here and has happily pushed a number of quality players out the door and broken up what was a good squad a couple of years ago. Now we've ended up in this state with the court jester in the dugout.

Just a brief timeline of events in both contract situations regarding Hoilett (2011/2012) and Marshall (2016/2017). I've already drawn a conclusion as to how this stupidity will end. We'll be relegated and Marshall will walk out of BRFC for absolutely nothing.

The only other possible outcome (and I believe it could be likely) - we'll sell him in January and Coyle will come out and say 'we did everything we could to keep him here but sometimes you have to admit defeat and do what's best for the club'.

A couple more hundred grand in the bank and us one step closer to oblivion.

Excellent work Jimmy.

One thing the club are very good at doing is shifting the blame onto the player(s) when they depart.

I used to buy this theory and accept that if a player wanted to leave that the club could only do what was the right thing and look to get a bad egg out asap and get as much money in the bank for him as possible. This theory applied in the days of Santa Cruz, Bellamy and Bentley. It was hard watching those players move on to rival clubs but I accepted that they had had their heads turned by clubs offering them significantly more cash and that for Rovers the best thing to do at that stage was to get rid and then reinvest the cash.

These days I don't accept the theory. I don't think Marshall has had his head turned or is desperate to leave the club, rather that this poisonous, crooked regime has created an environment so toxic that many players simply don't want to be involved with it anymore. We've got people operating behind the scenes, Pasha is one we know about, that have an agenda that doesn't tally with winning football matches and succeeding on the pitch. These people were responsible for offloading the likes of Salgado, Nelsen, Samba, Kalinic, Nzonzi, then the next batch of Cairney, King, Rhodes, then Duffy and Hanley. The owners and club make it clear these players are for sale to the highest bidder, that they aren't going to be given new contracts, that they are on their way out whilst trying to keep the fans in the dark as to what is going on.

Do I blame Marshall? Not one iota. I believe that if this club was run properly and had a footballing agenda that he would have been made a sensible offer and that he would have committed his long term future to the club. Just like Cairney would have done if there wasn't cash to be made off his quick sale to Fulham.

How can a player be expected to perform to his maximum when he knows that people within the organisation are lying and stringing them along whilst trying to sell them?

As ever the only people who will suffer are the Rovers fans. Venkys and associates will be happy. Another wage off the books, hopefully a few hundred grand in the bank and another signing to replace Marshall on a healthy signing on bonus and 2 year deal for a 30 odd year old. Coyle isn't bothered, he gets his wages and his only priority is to ensure the fans keep off his back. Coyle is the facilitator, as Kean was, as he will come out with this rubbish and string the fans along for months and months whilst the real business is done behind the scenes. Coyle won't complain, or kick up any sort of fuss, or resign, which is why he will survive like Kean did and why Bowyer had to go and why Lambert and Allardyce were never going to last.

This type of comment needs posting in the Chaddygraph to enlighten some of the hordes who are still oblivious as to whats going on and backing Venkys.

The similarities between Kean/Hoilett and Coyle/Marshall were pointed out very early and it has continued, shown excellently by Jimmy612.

Coyle is a clown. He isn't the big picture etc, but his comments truly grate and are getting more bizarre by the week.

Coyles a job to do which couldn't be done under Bowyer, was started under Lambert but he then refused to play ball. Quite simply it's continue the downscale off the better players being moved out and plug the gaps with cheaper whilst balancing it out with loans from clubs who are probably lending for almost nothing.

He gets to use all his contacts hence all the injury prone ageing under achievers he's loading onto the books whilst working with the clubs own hidden partners to oversee the outgoings. Ultimate yes man very grateful for the opportunity.

Everyone including himself probably will just be praying he can just thump his tub enough for us to stay up whilst all this goes on. They'll prob sack him a month or so after the transfer window shuts to do him a slight favour so he isn't the name who sealed relegation and he keeps a bit of pride in tact so he can get another gig.

"We know we are putting the right platform in place that will serve the club well for years to come but in the short term we want to pick up points in the Championship" - a 'platform' that involves assembling a squad of 30 odd year olds who aren't fit, relying on loans from other clubs and not playing academy products to avoid paying them more.

"We all know how good the work is at the club from the youth up but ultimately you will be judged on how many points you get over the course of a season" - except at Blackburn Rovers, where it has been proven several times that managers are not judged on their results.

"Over the course of the season we won't be in a spot of bother" - ???? This is the season and we are in bother. Serious bother.

"We will soon get away from that and look to climb and look to build"

The bloke is a nutter. Completely and utterly clueless and deluded and with comments like these alone he should be sacked.

With Kean, his comments got me angry. With Coyle, they just make me shake my head and laugh at the stupidity of it all.

Blackburn Rovers (under Venky's) have a habit of numbing you to this sort of drivel.

Foolishly I clicked over there for a read, what a load of tripe. The guy is either on a wind up or just unstable.

Decided to not bother going tomorrow, that will be about a month since I've been near the place. What a shambles we are in..

Just what effing platform is he putting in place ? Half the squad is borrowed and he knows damn well he won't get the money to sign the one or two decent ones.

We were struggling to put a squad together a few weeks before the season began then had to scramble in loans and there is still no real balance to it. Top that with signing two 36 yr olds !!!

@#/? off clown pants.

It is still a massive source of anger and frustration for me when he refers to Rovers as we. I will never accept him as the manager of my team or even as a part of the club, even if he was the bog cleaner. It is an insult to every one of us seeing him with a Rovers crest on him. Now if it was a Doberman Pincher on him that would be different.

I am pretty certain Coyle tries his est to just wind up the fans. The latest headline, quoting him in the Telegraph state "The future is right for Blackburn Rovers. When I saw that, I thought it had to be a story about some new floodlights, but it isn't.
