do not want to start a new thread, but someone said to me today on the beach thay anderson was 1st introduced to the club by the walkers trust is this true.

I think the Trust tasked the agency with finding them a buyer. They seemed to focus on India as all of a sudden in the space of a few months there were 3 Indian buyers on the scene, each as dodgy/suspect as each other.

First there was the mystery man Saurin Shah who nobody had ever heard of who wanted to buy the club and exploit Blackburn's Asian population. Then all of a sudden Ahsan Ali Syed's crew arrived on the scene striding into Ewood Park to 'view the books'. A few days research by the BBC revealed him out to be as dodgy as can be and his rip off job at Racing Santander could easily have been us. Then just after the Syed move fell through all of a sudden Venkys appeared on the scene and got the deal done.

Some time after the takeover Saurin Shah took legal action claiming Venkys had reneged on an earlier agreement with him pre-takeover.

Its no coincidence that after years of the club being for sale that all of a sudden at least 3 Indian buyers were taking an active interest and all of them had unclear backgrounds and suspect motives for buying a football club.

The Trust were no doubt delighted that they managed to get a deal done and got their money whilst offloading the club.

If we had any sense we'd be on the phone right now to Ipswich asking them if they'd let McCarthy out of his contract and whether he'd take the job with the promise of a healthy bonus for keeping us up.

Bonus is paid on doing the job hired to do / relegation.

Whats this idea of bonus on keeping us up ?

Like Warnock, totally wrong man for thr job.

We have the outstanding candidate already.

SEM were tasked by the Walker Trust to find a buyer and hired by Venkys to find a club! A marriage made in heaven!

There were apparently 3 suitors circling but, surprise, surprise,SEM recommended Venkys!

I have no reason to disbelieve that this decision was made on the basis of merit alone, just as all Venkys managerial and admin appointments have.

The fact that they pocketed 2 sets of fees had nothing to do with it, obviously.

i find this unbelievable, surely corrupt, anderson would have gone to venkys and said i can get you a club at x price back to the trust.i can sell your club for xx price back to venkys as long as i represent you for your tenure i can get you the club for xxx price.

Speechless!

If this is a genuine cross section of our 'fans' then we've no chance.

You have to read about 6 replies before someone agrees he needs to go.

The man's a buffoon and needs potting now to give us any hope if staying in this league.

Ha! First time I've ever seen that site, wow.

Looks as if they all dance to the tune of that blackhat chap. A fella who said we were idiots to boo Kean, going down was a 'good idea to rebuild' and we should go down again with Coyle at the helm for more rebuilding.

I won't ever think BRFCS is unrepresentative again!

What is this "agenda" that he could possibly think that fans have? That should have been immediately questioned by the Radio Lancashire reporter. Disgraceful comment.

What, we just don't like you? The Burnley thing? Don't talk wet, you plum. We'd have Dyche over you in a heartbeat.

We want Venkys out? Damn right we do. But that's not an agenda, it's self-preservation. We are floating in an ocean and are likely to drown but if somebody tries to hold us under the water then the survival instinct kicks in.

What agenda, Cocoyle? Not wanting to be relegated? Not happy that you are taking us down with the blessing of the owners? Not happy that you get paid a small fortune for the privilege? Not happy that in 5 years time you will be doing sportsmen's dinners in Colne bragging about how you took Rovers down to cheers?

We want our club to still be here to support in the short and long term. We'd like that to be in the second tier as a minimum. We have put up with your @#/? all season and we are firmly mired in it - as we predicted. So maybe it's the fans fault? Maybe we need to get real? The irony is that we are comfortable with realism but not while we continue to be taken the @#/? out of; while we are chained up like a dog in the back room of a mansion and the bloke who feeds us scraps keeps treating us like a fool.

Now. What's your agenda? Why are our owners happy to keep paying you to relegate the team? Rovers continued failure is a source of much distress to fans but you - a know-nowt with no affinity to the club - gets rewarded.

The damned cheek of the guy.

Has the Venkys boy said something?

NM I've seen it, close your eyes and you would swear it was Kean huh?

Also heard a similar rumour that he will be sacked soon but have been here before with Venky's and they change their mind constantly. Mind you even if they do sack him they will just replace with another puppet.

You know they will, having turned away the likes of Adkins and Warnock for this clown. What ever Venkies agenda is it has sweet F.A. to do with success on the pitch

This is what Cheston said to me about Coyle in email from early July when I questioned the appointment.

We are trying very hard to get Blackburn Rovers back to the top flight as soon as possible and approach the 2016-17 season with a sense of renewed optimism.

It will not be easy, but we need everyone with Rovers at heart (and the tone of your correspondence suggests to me that you care deeply about the club) to get right behind us.

As I said at the time of his appointment, we were delighted to welcome Owen Coyle to the club, following a thorough managerial search. A long list of very high calibre names was drawn up, which was then whittled down to six individuals, four of whom were interviewed. Some were unable to fulfil the role for personal reasons, some personal expectations could not be agreed and some did not meet all of the criteria we were looking for.

Owen has a wealth of management experience, a strong track record in the Championship, which includes a promotion to the Premier League, and an excellent reputation for developing promising young players. He knows the area very well and understands exactly what football, and this club, means to people from these parts.

By taking on the role, he knew exactly what he was entering into and he was very positive about the resources that he would have to work with.

His reputation and contacts within the game are mightily impressive and we have already seen the benefit of that with the signings of Anthony Stokes, Danny Graham, Liam Feeney, Stephen Hendrie, and Jack Byrne players we are all very much looking forward to seeing pull on the blue-and-white halves.

I think we said at the time but how exactly did he have "a strong track record in the Championship"?

Bolton and Wigan must have looked at it and said "Well he got Bumley promoter". Both sacked him after going everything possible to ruin both clubs then he went off to the footballing backwater (still) to get work. How on earth could we think the same? Wigan only just recovered because of Whelan. We will surely follow Bolton but without the bounce.

Amusing/Depressing (delete as appropriate) in hindsight that only Danny Graham - initially brought in by Lambert, not Coyle - has been worth a damn out of that group of players.

Next time ask him to reply in a Powerpoint presentation. Have heard he loves those.

Swansea City Supporters Trust said in a statement: "We are pleased to say that we are being fully consulted in the decision as to who should be our new manager."

Totally agree

But lets be honest, most of the away fans are probaly those who dont enter Ewood anymore. Those who only attend away games.

The true test will be at the next home game. Will the fans rise up in unity as the away ones showed at Barnsley?

I actually think RoversTalk must be a parody/satire site.

Iv'e long suspected that, the club or someone else is at play on there. That was the site that Balaji's son popped up on a few years ago and some snuggled up to him. Just saying....

Eh, just imagine an echo chamber of Parsons & Chaddys. You've got Roverstalk.

"He said: “Ultimately you’re the one who puts the team on the field, and although it’s not you who misses the chances, it’s your responsibility"

Can anyone else really believe he said that? If I was a player, I would be fuming.

Meaningless words Den. How in practical terms will he accept that responsibility? Donate a week's pay to charity?

Don't think so!

He will continue to accept responsibility for every defeat but so what?

Pretty sure the Trust have a minority share in the club. A donation - albeit a short term one.

Not even 1% from memory.
