You can't possibly tell me that one game live on sky is causing concern over how it reflects on the ownership of the club. How about being 2nd bottom of the championship and a complete embarrassment all season?

That doesn't reflect too well in anyone's eyes.

Venkys still dont have a clue whats going, so its business as usual.

Agreed.

But just think about it.

Barnsley was a step up in vitriol and has been noted generally.

Newcastle could see us on the wrong end of a real pasting and a sixth consecutive loss. Bad enough when a crowd turns at any point but in front of Sky cameras beaming world wide!?!? Coyle no longer being manager might just take a bit of sting out of it. I think even our crass management can see this.

Either way, by then it will be too late. Its probably to late already to save us.

I heard a rumour my mum was my uncle, that turned out to be a load of bunkum too

Is she from Burnley?

My point is, that in fact, he isn't accepting responsibility 47er.

Sorry Den, I knew that. Just feel so angry and frustrated from time to time that I just rant!

Indeed. That quote basically boils down to "well, I technically have to accept responsibility as the manager, but in reality the players are the problem."

Coward. Gives a little more credence to the rumours of the senior players taking umbrage over Coyle's match preparation methods.

Or " I know the responsibility is supposed to be mine but I have no idea how to exercise it and I'm not going to find out".

What on earth has Keith Hill ever done or Adkins ? Sounds like more barrel scraping chaddy !

Have you looked where we are in the league and Rochdale are recently ? Chances are Keith Hill wouldn't even be interested now. They could well pass us in May. I live in Rochdale and what Hill has done there is equivalent to what Dyche has done at Burnley plus the fact he's made them a small fortune in transfer fees. I don't know of any other manager at that level that has consistently brought in discarded players and turned their careers around. Scott Hogan just being the latest in a long line. Also he's got them where they are now by playing an attractive passing game not ale house football.

You're just revealing your ignorance of football matters in the lower leagues but I suspect that will soon be changing.

In the event of the clowns making a sensible decision and sacking Coyle, who are you suggesting Rovers should go for JAL? Hopefully the footballing super power that is Blackburn Rovers, headed by Mike Cheston, some unknown bloke called Pasha and owned by a family who last attended a match at Ewood 3 years ago, who have invested 250k in transfers in 18 months, who admitted to knowing nothing about football, will be reading so they can take your advise. So let's have some names.

Both have promotions on their CV's

Hill done a great job at Rochdale and previously at Barnsley

Hill brilliant both times at Dale but didn't work out for him at barnsley for one reason or another why would he come here when he's in with a shout of overtaking us at the moment

Adkins record speaks for itself apart from the Sheff Utd experience but would he come here

That unfortunately Bob is where we'll end up with some desperado or another sem linked no mark and we go round again with more loans in and out.. Or they'll be sticking with OC whilst the dumbing down continues

Lower leagues definitely isnt my focus along twenty thousand other Rovers fans but yes you are correct but who the hell is Scott Hogan out of interest.

I'm only interested in men who can get Rovers to the top of this division most that are in the lower leagues are there for a reason.

The club can't move forward whilst this shower are controlling it Bob from the agents to the owners to the manager through to the coaching staff and down finally to the players.

You're probably right. I'd take our chances though. We're definitely down if he stays.

Can see it now Merc- sacked after Newcastle, takes 3 weeks of utter farce to find another manager, transfer window conveniently shuts and down we go making our plans for Rochdale

Nice side step

Football skills yoda left or right foot drop of the shoulder then move off with pace.

What's Adkins or Hill done in the championship to warrant a contract seem to remember Hill struggled big time whilst at Barnsley.

Who's Scott Hogan ? If you had a seat that faced the pitch you'd have seen him score two goals for Brentford at Ewood earlier this season. September Championship Player of the month. Hill picked him up from non league football and then sold him on. Reading just bid £9 million for him but Brentford are holding out for £15 million. Could be the next Jamie Vardy. He was in the lower leagues for a reason also.

You appear to be in a time warp. When did we last have 20,000 Rovers fans at Ewood ?

Hill didn't do a great job at Barnsley. He failed, has an awful win percentage and was well on the way to taking them down when he was sacked,

Yes I accept he might have had a small budget and poor squad but that's exactly what he'd be getting here.

Also look how Barnsley have gone on under Heckingbottom this season which far outperforms anything Hill has ever done in this league.

I completely accept that he's worked wonders with Rochdale, but I can't help get the feeling its a Coleman/Stanley style marriage where he's running the club exactly how he wants and is in his comfort zone there.

There's no reason to think he has what it takes to come here and keep us up this season.

If/when we go down he might be a candidate to try to get us back to the Championship if we were a real club with a proper structure, but if not then he'd be ruining his career leaving Rochdale to come here.

Adkins is another that was far more qualified for the job here in the summer than Coyle with a better win record, more promotions and less failures even after his Sheffield United season. Rumour has it he was interviewed and overlooked, another major mistake in my opinion. He'd be on my list if I were leading a managerial search, but again other than for our own interest it is a futile conversation.

We can't hope to move forward, no. Right now it's about not going any further backwards.

Chances are nothing will change. Coyle will continue to run the team. Players will continue to be sold each window. We will be relegated in the Summer and the cycle will continue..

With owners we trust, appointing managers based on achievement and replacing them when failing, and players putting s shift in we may recover as a fanbase. With this lot it's just getting worse and worse.

But we don't stop needing a new manager because the current owners don't care either way. Our only hope is that the tin foil hat wearers are wrong and we get a sensible appointment a la Lambert.
