Battered but scabbed a point, he's just bought himself January at least!

Coyle is going nowhere; the sooner people realise this the better

Nobody wants to see him removed more than I do but it isn't going to happen

Cocochimp 'aye it was a good point, we were on top for most of the game and it was a real sickener to concede so late but the wind blew a gust and put the ball into the net, we move on and build on this'

Agreed. He's going nowhere. He's cheap and shows no ambition so the Venkys will love him regardless of the results. To be a manager of rovers has nothing to do with results, performances of popularity amongst the fans and everything to do with how little hassle you give the owners.

And even if he did get sacked so what the Venkys would just appoint another terrible manager.

I'm sure Venky's friends watching around the world are very impressed with 28% possession and zero shots.

Coyle's job might be more at risk if we win/draw than lose.

Cocochimp has given himself a job here for the next 5 years now

Depends what bets were on.

Difficult to criticise on the last 2 games - we were unlucky not to win at Huddersfield too. Luck was with us a bit today are there signs that Coyle's making us a harder team to beat?

The last two performances have been based on luck than anything that cocochimp has done, he couldn't organise a @#/? up in a brewery

I guess Coylio has done a Keane. The double over Newcastle means at least one more season of dining out with or without that relegation bonus.

His celebration for Mulgrew's goal said it all. #jobforlife

It's not difficult to criticise the last two games at all. Scabbing four points with dire performances isn't something to praise, especially as the season so far has shown it is not the norm for us to win matches playing badly.

As for unlucky not to win against Huddersfield... take the time of the goal out of the equation and not at all. 20 shots to 3, 73% - 27% possession paints us as the lucky ones. Exactly the same today. Much like Kean, Coyle is the type of manager who can scrape a win in the midst of horrendous overall form. Our team as a whole is still a mess in every area and will be punished by the majority of clubs we come across this season. Of that there can be little doubt, regardless of the four extremely lucky points we've collected in the last two games.

From a Newcastle forum:

"to be fair to owen coyle - he's outmanouvered (sic) rafa both times this season."

Any chance of a swap? Tinkerman for Tinkler?

Doesn't mean it's not. Only needs one win in 6 - especially if it's a big scalp.
