Bowyer will be pleased that his side improved over the course of the half, but concerned by the fact that Marshall was forced off with a potentially serious ankle injury. Derby started better, but Rovers went closest to opening the scoring when Gestede's powerful header was tipped over the bar by Grant. The rest of the half saw both sides sloppily give away possession and fail to string passes together and find openings, although both teams were forced into a substitution and there will be some concern that Marshall's injury could be relatively serious.
