chaddyrovers Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Stop it Chaddy. You know damned well what consortium. who? Battersby and Currie? cos I've believe they have more on now from looking at buying Rovers
Al Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 who? Battersby and Currie? cos I've believe they have more on now from looking at buying Rovers Amazing what you think you know. Where does that come from?
tomphil Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Amazing what you think you know. Where does that come from? Nixon or fairy land, it's all gospel when you inhabit these places.
USABlue Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Quite typical, Feeney ballsed it uo ine end then they score at the death, was actually expecting 2 late Town goals. We are crap. Agree with Stuart, no giod for the league but the point gives coil a stay. Not sure he'd be potted anyway but was looking forward to some televised vitriol in his direction come Monday, this will sadly temper that.
Cherry Blue Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Every bloody game we give away an injury time goal because of a stupid, idiotic substitution. Resign Coyle you are an incompetent! A point will sadly bring a smile to Coyle as he secures his future at venkys. A disgraceful performance from a football side with only 3 shoots on goal and at least one was a cross but its business as usual as the Indian company destroys our club.
roverandout Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Would have preferred a heavy defeat, just shows how crap the championship is, only Newcastle and villa would survive in the premiership
arbitro Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 say who? why would Venkys put the club into administration when they would lose control and that's is something they like is control and being in control. what consortium? Lets hope they sell the club in the summer. being in the championship come next summer would be a more attractive club to buy to a new potential owner IMO. At the risk of derailing this thread who on earth would buy the club in its current state? Massive debt, dwindling fan base, no assets on the playing side, poorly administrated, poorly managed and coached and a plethora of other things that would almost certainly deter any potential buyers. We are nearly at the stage where administration is going to be the only option. This current situation just can't go on.

They are Indians, and very successful ones back home. They have no/aren't allowed the concept of admitting failure. Administration would afford them excuses to gracefully step off the roundabout and bring this farce to an end. Al knew the consortium before I even posted, but you'd find a positive angle if Venky's wanted to move Ewood Park to Aleppo.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 It's a nothing result....we bumble onwards to the delights of Div 1.
Backroom DE. Posted December 31, 2016 Backroom Posted December 31, 2016 Quite typical, Feeney ballsed it uo ine end then they score at the death, was actually expecting 2 late Town goals. We could have lost by 10 today and the most you'd get would be a small "Venky's/Coyle Out" chant quickly shouted down by the GBTLFFS brigade.
Gav Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Why was this game a 12.30 kick off? Wasn't on TV was it?
roverandout Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 So the weather didn't get too heavy by the afternoon
philipl Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Chaddy blowing bubbles- total BS. Well our specialist concession in the first 15 minutes didn't happen today but we made up for it by a sub-inspired injury time points dropper which is another Coyle signature dish...

Oh sorry Mr Philip. Did you watch or listen to the game?
AllRoverAsia Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 I can't take another year of this s-hit.
chaddyrovers Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Amazing what you think you know. Where does that come from? From a very good source of info and not Alan Nixon. Tomphil, just keep coming with the insults as the Jamacian bobsliegh team said no problem man. From Huddersfield fan and friend who attended the game Game was frustrating. We should have scored 3 or 4 in 1st half. Rovers grew in confidence 2nd half and defended well in numbers. Nicked a goal, couldn't see us scoring 2nd half but Wells got us a draw. Think Rovers lacked confidence 1st half but grew as it went on. Thought two centre backs Mulgrew and Greer were solid.Williams played well. Not much passing football in your team tho.Only threat was set pieces.
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Played all right today. Terrible first half but definitely the better team in the second. 3 great breakaways towards the end, Gallagher needlessly strayed offside for 2 and poor pass to him on the third. Their equaliser was the type of goal an Allardyce team would never conceed. There should be plans worked on in training for such an eventuality. I can think of one right now, stick 8 in the wall and 1 on the line, then the wall edges forward no matter what. It's in injury time, the ref can't send the whole team off. Play dirty but keep it out. In any case I'll say what I saw, Coyle got a big reaction from them at half time and we probably should have won it in the end. Not bad away at a play-off team except that only works if you then beat bottom half teams at home. Huddersfield fans were brilliant. They had a drum, makes all the difference. Our songs continue to be sung at 100mph so everyone's out of breath after a couple of renditions.
arbitro Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Referee to blame for giving the free kick and playing five minutes of stoppage time. As predicted. http://mobile.rovers.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/blackburn-rovers-huddersfield-town-owen-coyle-3492489.aspx
Mike Graham Posted December 31, 2016 Author Posted December 31, 2016 Just seen the score. Didn't our Coyley do well.

Everyone I've heard from said we were by far the 2nd best team. It helps to be a better fan when your team is challenging at the top of the league...
Backroom DE. Posted December 31, 2016 Backroom Posted December 31, 2016 20 shots to 3 tells its own story.
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Just seen the score. Didn't our Coyley do well. There was a bloke near me who yelled at him to sit down the second he got off the bench, no matter what was happening in the game, was hilarious. Gotta mention Akpan as well, the current scapegoat it seems but played well today.
