JAL Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 That's a very short break for the area Abbey three days is way too short but..... the red city sight seeing tour bus along the Amalfi coast is a must. It departs from just outside Sorrento train station. The Amalfi coast is just up over the other side of the mountain from where you'll be. Plenty of boat trips to go on; Capri island, Naples (wow) Amalfi coast though three days isn't enough time unless your desperate to see these. Sight seeing Pompeii via the local train will take a good four hours of your time minimum. Theres a well known gelato icecream parlour on the main street with plenty of resteraunts in amongst all those narrow cobbled streets. Enjoy !
ABBEY Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 Got a Christmas/50th pressie to go so 3 days is emmence .. will check the red light with mrs abs ha ... as long as no agents
oldjamfan1 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 As JAL says, the Amalfi coast is amazing. Amalfi itself boasts a must-see cathedral. Even if you're not particularly religious, you can feel the history of the place as you walk in, and it also contains the mortal remains of St Andrew, as well as several other religious relics. The weather will likely be quite hit and miss. Why has it taken you seven years to collect your 50th birthday present anyway ABBEY? 😜
