One last time, for clarification.

On Saturday 28th January, 2017, if you choose to go to Ewood Park and purchase a ticket to watch Blackburn Rovers FC vs Blackpool FC, your hard earnt money, your children's inheritance, the food for your table will be split three ways. It will go too, either directly or indirectly; the Venky family, the Oyston family and The FA.

The decision is yours. Whatever you do, sleep well at night.

My hard earned money is going on supporting my club and my team on Saturday, like every other Saturday, and I have no trouble sleeping thanks.

Whilst it's admirable having that stance that nothing to date is putting you off, it's also convincingly supporting the continued demise of this football club and it's owners.

I've decided I'm going.

Some of the posters on here have gone way OTT IMO and I don't like being told what I should or shouldn't do.

Put me right off protesting they have.

You were never going to protest in the first place.

I wanted to watch Football with my girlfriend

wut.

Great. In total honesty Parson, if it makes you feel better and you are happy to do it then carry on. Enjoy the game.

You never protested in the first place did you?

You've done nothing, we all know that, so stop digging and accept you're not a protestor, you'll not be alone.

I certainly won't or don't need to justify myself to you Gav!

why disgrace? Each of us have own reasons for own actions and each should be respect.

very uncalled for calling people a disgrace and IMO unacceptable.

I will be inside the stadium for 2pm

It's a disgrace in my opinion that the same posters including yourself in this have bemoaned the club's plight and owners, all the while being exposed to documents etc evidencing clear malpractice carried out under these owners and the people like Cheston who run this football club. One relegation was bad enough but a clear second designed relegation would have 90% of football fans angry and wanting to object to this.

There appears no end in sight for what these people/owners etc do to your good-selves yet you continue to just suck it up spending your hard earned being tortured at the same time all the while a majority of fans fight to save our club, fight to get attention brought back on it just to highlight our plight.

Give over Mike, you'd be better spending it on something like a mural....oh, hang on

My hard earned money is going on supporting my club and my team on Saturday, like every other Saturday, and I have no trouble sleeping thanks.

Glad to see that you are coming round to the idea, Jim, but donations are now closed and the mural has been completed. Save your money for now, there will be other similar funds in the future.

Is that an ill informed guess or just a smartarse comment?

I've donated monies, been on a protest march this season and join in with the 'Venky's out' chants every game.

Did the 1875 too.

What have you done this season?

I enjoyed it watching my team play and have some memories at Ewood Park.

IMO, the owners dont care about the fanz and certain not people protesting.

We cant force them out.

I have posted my reasons for my view before. We refer to them

Exactly right Al. There are clearly several thousand still happy to keep supporting the Rovers in games and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that despite what some on here would have you believe. Blackpool look like having somewhere in the region of 1,200 supporters on Saturday so clearly there is still an appetite for the game in that part of the world. Like you, I believe the club will survive come what may. It may be Blackburn Rovers 2017 or whatever, but I still believe that there will be a team at Ewood carrying the name of Blackburn Rovers. As many have pointed out Rangers are still around and playing at Ibrox, Portsmouth are still at Fratton Park. Anyway Al, hope we have something to celebrate on Saturday with a place in the fifth round.

But you are on the record PB, as saying you could never support a "new" team. I've argued quite vigorously with you about this in the past. If you have changed your mind that's great!

That could be the one concept that we can all unite around.

My over riding view is that I am 75 (today) and I don't know how long I have left to watch my team. I therefore want to watch Rovers as much as I can and consider that the football section is for talking football. Protests and general whinging about the Venkys and agents can be the subject of separate threads that I don't have to pore through to get the odd bit of discussion about the team. I would have no problem with that. I'm too old to do marches etc. That is for the younger fans who have years ahead of them.

Belated happy birthday for yesterday.

We really should have age banded forums:

25 and below

26 to 50

Over 50s

Anyone can go in any forum but modding is based on a rules set by the age range of the posters for whom that forum is for.

How can you enjoy watching what's going on at the club? Not having a go at you for attending as I do myself but I take part in the protests and will not attend the game this weekend,I will join the protest instead.

I honestly can't remember the last time I enjoyed a game. It's not the club I fell in love with.Venkys out

You've just started too, no need I can assure you.

You're not a protestor, that's fine but don't hide behind absolute bunkum excuses.

No it was a general observation from someone who takes time to read the site, I was under the impression from your comments, and you just proved it a few pages back, that you don't protest because of the protestors.

It's not the first time you've made the same comment.

I've posted once, earlier tonight, that the OTT commemts on here from protesters have put me right off joining them on Saturday.

Feel free to quote the other times I've made similar comments.

Did you bother to read my contributions to protesting this year?

What have you done this year?

Maybe if the boycotters where not so aggressive towards non boycotters more people would protest regardless of attending the game or not. My heart says boycott Saturday but whilst the pressure and negative handling of attenders persist whilst at the same time saying not a penny more I wont take part. The same people who put pressure on people to change their morals and beliefs to help your beliefs for one game, won't back it up and stand together for one game attending. This attitude is completely dividing the fan base. I haven't seen one person attending on this board slate anyone boycotting. I have seen people explain why there not boycotting but not abuse people. The boycott is pointless when your driving a wedge between your own fans. That's why I've had enough and I'm going and will sit and watch the whole horror show play out. I was going to protest before going in but it is pointless and I find the whole thing stinks of hypocrisy

Any comments in particular AggyBlue? Note that there hasn't been a single arrest at any Rovers protest so those gobby ones on here don't go out to cause trouble irl.

FWIW, I say follow your gut. If you want to protest, do it and don't let others get you down. If not, enjoy the game or whatever you plan to do :)

If a 5/10 minute march doesn't affect you (as in anyone, not YOU) watching the game, I personally don't understand why you'd not take part and support the notion of #VenkysOut

I don't either and I wish every attendee would at least march or take banners in. The point is how can you preach (not you personally) and take the moral high ground then say not a penny more if a protest against venkys, to highlight our plight ,the same as a boycott for one game , for the cause we are all fighting for, to get venkys out, the only thing that matters, if arranged in the ground just be brushed away as not a penny more and people are supposed to accept that unquestioned. I keep saying I understand the boycotters but they need to remember why their boycotting. To get venkys out. Anything ANYTHING that helps this should be done. Maybe that way abit of fan unity might start happening. I've seen boycotters give people some real harsh stick on here for not boycotting firing every reason they should and they are helping the club die etc then I mention a protest at the u23s were no money changes hands, the youth get supported , we all together watch rover's and protest together for the cause. United. I get met with sorry no. Not until they go. Well they will never go divided. Together we have a small chance and at least our pride. That's why I will no longer do anything because the whole thing is embarrassingly pointless and I for one will waste no more time or energy on anything until something gives
