Aye, protest and you may get booed. Attend and the club will live at least a while. And, dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our money, but theyll never take our club!?!

Disclaimer; just a bit of fun, before anyone starts getting self-righteous

Yawn.

I've presented factual and statistical evidence suggesting the long term implications of all types of boycotting and you retort with childish claims repeatedly. The link I provided is the FFP rules and outlines how it works.

If you want to carry on with your head in the sand then albeit it do so. I just hope your still around to see any uprising and re-birth.

you maybe 75 but I suggest your mind isn't quite what it probably was and provides the excuse for your continued ignorance.

What a disgusting post. And it's "You're" maybe 75.

I understand the point you are making but can you imagine the scramble for power, character assassination, finger pointing and general mud slinging from the 'protestors' and 'non protestors' as the fall out from liquidation would rumble on, and on and on for years to come I think - if the past few months/years are anything to go by.

I understand there is that possibility but we have to be more positive than that. This is something all Rovers supporters can come together around.

The idea that Venkys could be outflanked and their refusal to sell would be meaningless is more than enough to get my juices flowing!

Just to be free to concentrate on the football for once and roar the team on should sink the differences.

After all we weren't always like this! :tu:

Im sure its Blackburn Rovers tbf..

But you carrying on. No respect. No wonder we never can unite the fans based with comment like that

Don't be so soft.

LOL. Whereas I presume you regard boycotted who will no doubt act all surprised when we go bust because we have no money as the font of all knowledge.

Good to see respect for other people's opinions is alive and well on this m/b.

Well if we do go bust it will be the owners agents\venkeys fault not the fans fault for not finacialy supporting the shambles that they have turned it into. They could not care less about the club or its fans. At least some fans are fighting for this club while others just stick there head in the sand.

I realy can not beleive that some fans still think we are a normal club ffs

I heard 5k home fans tickets sold

No chance chaddyrovers I'm protesting in two ways but still want to watch the game.. My regular seat in the Jw upper isn't available due extra segregation.. That was what I was told by the club yesterday

It'll always be BRFC.. Even when adminned or liquidated.. If say two guys John and Steve down the road running a cleaning business go bankrupt but start again as a fresh cleaning business they're still the same John and Steve

Steve started a skywriting business, but it folded when neither his dog nor him could find his plane.

I disagree completely with that. No-one gives two hoots if John and Steve go bust and reopen in an identical shop just round the corner.

You can't however compare that to a football Club with 142 years of history shutting down and being replaced by a phoenix outfit with no links to Ewood Park ot Brockhall operating from Pleasing ton playing fields or whatever. The equivalent would be John and Steve having to take up a pitch on the pavement attempting to wash by hand.

For me there's no distinction whatsoever between that and thenodrog 's notorious Lancashire United brainwave for which he was roundly panned on here.

Couldn't agree more. Passion and noise coming from the stands, supporting a football club being all about football and never have to think about Venkys again. As you say it wasn't always like this, it shouldn't be like this, although I think the 6 hellish years are starting to make people forget that.

Venkys have stolen our club, turned it into a forgotten, failing small overseas business lost in their vast portfolio, and will let it bleed out slowly, painfully over possibly decades (Oyston's chilling words "I've been in this for 20 years.")

Would John Lewis and Arthur Constantine have stood for this? I don't think so, I think they'd have said sod you Venktd, we're reforming our club and taking back our name.

It's a polarizing issue and one I can't see gaining traction until it's its opponents have suffered more and watched us fall further. But I'm like you, the fans can remake this club and the idea that maybe one day we will keeps me going.

Don't be so soft.

Andy makes a good point. There is no reason for the fanbase to be so fractured yet here we are. Having sat through six years of total destruction of the football club we share, we cannot agree on any course of action - largely because it's all too difficult and requires a bit of speculative effort. I can well see a very meaningless power struggle between a few individuals - fighting over who "represents the club" to deal with the administrator - although with any luck the WAR project has ironed out a few of those issues.

Of greater concern though is that the anti-boycotters will decide "it's not the same club" or just simply not be up for saving the club when the time comes.

People don't like it but the vast majority of those who won't protest simply cannot be bothered or "don't have time". This is a very similar situation as the idea we have 10,000 boycotters. In reality many of those just don't like the football being served up.

Human being are inherently selfish when it comes to their money and time. But also like to make excuses as to why they won't do something.

It will be interesting to see the gate and also the numbers who actually take part in the protest outside the ground. My guess is that it will just be the usual couple of hundred plus another fifty or some Blackpool fans. These people deserve medals.

We can only speak for ourselves Stuart

I am boycotting and today I will be at the protest.

Lots of talk on here but I havent seen more than 5 come out and say "I am going to the protest"

More have said they are going to the match than have said they are protesting.

Too much emphasis on uniting the fans which actually causes friction and arguments and makes the cracks wider as people feel entrenched. I only control what I do myself which will be continuing to boycott and attend todays protest.

My expection is 50 pool fans and 50 Rovers fans.

The reasons as you explain that too many just cant be bothered.

Hope to see you there later.

Pasha Out !!

We may have to do what Rangers, Accy and Wimbledon had to do. Their fans don't share your attitude and nor should we.

Still, if a few logs fall off the cart on the journey, can't be helped.

not as stupid as this comment...how to win friends and influence people eh!

Well I was in two minds, but now you've called me stupid and ignorant.

Seen this type of comment over and over... These people refusing to join protests because of comments on a messageboard... What's betting these people were actually going to protest in the first place?
