McClarky Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 All a big game, with the money that goes with it, does is to extend the corrupt ownership we currently have. Best option is a home draw against someone with no support and to go out. Hard rhymes for hard times.

Rover_Shaun Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 I feel any home tie against most of the remaining premier league teams will attract a decent crowd. I'd also be very interested in the number of season ticket holders that attended Saturday. These fa cup matches always seem to fill the jack walker stand. Also off topic but why were blackpool fans on the left side of Darwin end ? Away from home fans.
blueboy3333 Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Gutted to get through to the next round? well, if you look at it like that then maybe not.
JHRover Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Sutton or Lincoln home or away would be nice. I'd also be happy with Oxford or Millwall as I don't think you can ever complain with a tie against a club in a lower division. Although having watched some of Millwall against Watford today I wouldn't be too keen on playing them at their place. I never want to play the likes of Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal or Chelsea as I'd like to get through and have a chance of going to Wembley. Huddersfield, Middlesbrough, Wolves or Fulham would be dreadful. As for Burnley, avoid. Not because I'm 'scared' of what Dyche's swashbuckling side (LOL) could do to us, but because I can think of nothing worse than another OTT police operation, 12pm kick off, Belfast 70s style segregation and all the rest of the hysteria that the local authorities, media and clubs apply which makes the whole day, home or away, a poor experience.

Was surprised at the OTT police escort for Blackpool coaches to the M65. There were mixed supporters walking together up Bolton Road who must have thought there was a crime in Darwen as the blue lights flashed by.

Also off topic but why were blackpool fans on the left side of Darwin end ?No Rovers fans were allowed in the DE and the Riverside was closed. If the JW is not looking full under those Club enforced conditions it never will. The Clubs hierarchy then agreed to put the Blackpool fans in the DE space usually used by Rovers fans so creating a wide empty space between them and the JW. Scared of fans joining together to protest inside Ewood????? Who knows when punatics run the asylum.

It occurs to me that the bums in the Blackpool seats could not be asked where they came from and how much they paid for a ticket....being stuck in the corner like naughty schoolkids.
Backroom Mike E Posted January 29, 2017 Backroom Posted January 29, 2017 Personally, I won't be renewing my ST after this season until Venky's leave. My attendance will be determined by whether a protest requires me to boycott or attend. My ST money will be saved upto help the protest effort when appropriate. HOWEVER, I will never miss Burnley at home.

1864roverite Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Not really bothered, on the 18th Feb its my 50th pi$$ up, lads are all taking in Chorley V Kidderminster, a real top of the table clash whilst supping copious amounts of alcohol !
AJW Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Would like city away , would hate to play Burnley (anywhere for that matter) will probably end up with Millwall
onlyonejackwalker Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Do we think that the lapsed fans/boycotters who maintain an interest will maintain their lack of interest/principled stance respectively or will they pack Ewood on a one off basis to defend the Clubs honour in the longstanding rivalry with the six finger Ed barstewards? No I won't be attending whoever we draw, but how does it affect you one way or the other and why are you so anxious about it? There is nothing for you to concern yourself with, just park the car, get your rattle, pay your money, buy your treats, go to the match and enjoy yourself as always.
alexanders Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I have to major dissapointments last two against Burnley at home. Deffo coming over to see that one!
perthblue02 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Interesting story regarding the FA insisting the BBC show Manure instead of Lincoln v Brighton. Denying a non legaue club live tv cash Just shows the contempt the FA show for their non cash cow clubs, an organisation that is Rotten to the Coar (sic)
Glosrover Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Please not any of the remaining Prem teams! Wolves or Fulham at home, winnable, but no disgrace in defeat, Losing at home to Sutton/ Lincoln / Millwall / Burnley would be another very public embarrassment against a footballing minnow

blue kiwi Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 i hope we get a winnable game, get to the semis and the venksters will have to turn up,be pretty embarassing with 10k fans at wembly
USABlue Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Anyone anywhere that will get us TV coverage over here

I have my season ticket which I use for league games, where I attend to both cheer the boys and to hold my protest banner. I no longer purchase from the bars / counters or club shop. I have no intention of buying a ticket for the next round whoever it is against. That said Id like to see us draw Millwall, Sutton or Lincoln in the next round.
J*B Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Praying for United away or similar. Hopefully getting battered live on TV in the cup will be enough for them to pot Coyle, giving us a chance to stay up in the league.
Mike Graham Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I will not be at Ewood if it is a home game......unless I get given a ticket (fat chance of that as I normally only get loaned ST's). No money to the loons even if is Burnley or Manure at home. I do hope we get Millwall away. It is a lovely part of London - ideal if you like browsing scrap yards.

Mike Graham Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Yes of course. Depends where it is.....the wife's firm have tickets at Man Utd, Man. City and I can get a freebie for Millwall.
Jock Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I was told that Manchester United had been televised 58 times in a row in the FA Cup. That's the FA protecting the small clubs for you.
