Nyambe did good things today but was caught out for 1st goal but he was left to mark 2 men.

There is a player there somewhere, decent feet and can dribble too.  I think I would play this lad further up the pitch or wing back in a 352.  Needs to be attacking more as I feel he is better going forward than defending.

He needs a manager to install confidence in the lad. Nyambe will make it.

I thought that was one of the best games of football we've seen at Ewood all season. I know we lost but overall we played much better than the normal rubbish.

Still poor at defending towards the end. Mulgrew is class but a tad slow and makes mistakes. Bennett is playing really well and deserved MOM. Feeney played well. His crosses are good. It was up to those in the middle to get on the end of them.

Steele doesn't fill me with confidence and Gallagher is wasted on the left wing.

I'll reserve judgement on Joao who was thrown in at the deep end and seem to almost drown.

Still think we will stay up because this league is largely cr@p and there isn't a huge difference between top 6 and bottom 6 as recent matches have shown.  I honestly think we will just about have enough despite our very poor manager.  Getting Hoban back and keeping Mulgrew, Bennett, Graham and Gallagher fit will be key.

As for Malbec, I think it's also cr@p.

I think if Coyle stays we're doomed. We keep saying things like "We've got 4 home games coming up in quick succession now. We need to make the most of them." Then proceed not to win any of them scraping a point or two here and there.

A new man might, and it's only "might" be able to get enough out of this bunch of players to finish above 3 other teams. But you have to try.

We are gone. Any new man will be shocked with the lack of fitness which is why we concede late goals and have so many muscular injuries.

Take BSA at Palace its taken him 6-7 weeks to get going after he labelled them unfit.

We've left it way to late.

Against Birmingham Coil effectively shut up shop to hang on for a point citing the late goals we have conceded as the reason for this. And then last night.................

This is an example of the random, ad hoc and off the cuff management that will ensure we are a League One team next season.

I don't after seeing his crossing.

The bloke is a bare faced liar.

After the game talking about how we were trying to force the win- lie. Just as we did in the minutes before the first goal, I saw him telling the players to drop deeper- to protect the point, obviously. Though the unfit outfit he 'manages' were probably glad of it.

Leeds were rocking at 1-1, we had the chance for a vital three points, but as always, this fraud, this 'lover of attacking football' held up the white flag.

Even now, we could still survive, swift removal of the imposter before Saturday would give us a fighting chance. Of course, he won't be- the only club that haven't felt the need to either change management or make actual signings. So one can only presume that avoiding relegation is not a prority,

Defending by dropping deeper and inviting pressure usually only ends one way.  You go from defending your own half to defending the last third to defending the penalty area to in the end trying to defend your six yard area. Unless you're very lucky it can't be done. You defend a lead by getting the ball in your opponents half and doing your best to keep it there.

Makes Saturday's a must win along with Rotherham and Burton. That's a big ask from a team who have won once in 11.

Claerly senior has more power than Coyle. Need to get rid of him asap

Sheffield wed away Feb 14th will be even harder

1 win is hardly getting them going.

But a brown envelope filled Jan window and £30m will help I'm sure. He'll be off to the Far East before the years out to give his 'talk' no doubt.

The games rotten to the core.

The  minutes of the  17 Jan 2017 Fans Forum confirm your point re Senior:

"Paul Senior was welcomed to the meeting as the new Director of Football. Rovers was his 6th club after work at Crystal Palace, Tottenham, West Ham, Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday. He had worked with 20 different managers, players in 80 different countries, had signed 200 players and subsequent sales had made £200m of profit.

Paul would be responsible for all football matters at the club including the first team and academy. Whilst Owen Coyle and his team would report to Paul he accepted that he could not do his job without very close co-operation with Owen and he had every faith in his abilities as a manager.

TS asked what plans PS had for the January transfer window. PS replied that he was in talks with a number of players but that there was a process to go through with both departures and arrivals.

TS asked whether PS was aware of the current protests by fans against the club’s owners. PS stated that the club would go into immediate administration without the current support of the owners. He accepted that of course better results on the pitch would help the situation. He was confident that the team would climb the Cha mpionship....".

The 'support' of the owners is getting us further into the mire. Did none of the Forum think to ask him why we are in this position in the first place.

The farce goes on and on.

Thanks for that pb. Essentially senior is there to shadow Coyle and hold his hand. For some they strike me that they don't see eye to eye ie. Coyle commented on the man utd fixture and no the Jao transfer both occurred within the hour.

If given the choice id say senior would have someone else in but needs final sign off from India

a lot of key points in that one being the subsequent sales profit....

Interestingly he's the only one to ever mention admin

it seems a power battle between senior and Coyle is on the cards of at this point is detrimental to survival unless a new manager is brought in which is unlikely due to costs as it seems Seniors remit is to cut costs..

Questions need to be asked about Seniors role at Sheffield and subsequent removal from that role and what actually qualifies him to be DOF...IMHO it's another Venkys mess or is it the two sides at play again Venkys on one hand and the agents on the other hand then the old question of the actual ownership comes into play again..

The club is a total basket case and we can only progress once Venkys and whoever leave the club wether it be admin or whatever

knowing our luck these charlatans would take the club from admin under another psuedo company

from minutes of meeting

PS replied that there was no contractual

restriction on Scott playing for the first team. He was a good prospect but

the club had good cover at centre back.

if we have good cover at centre back why are we not playing them?
