But given Venky's desire to fast-track young players into the first-team and sell them for a profit, it begs the question why Wharton has been marginalized. If it's just about wages, why bring in Brown and this donkey from Celtic?

The 'support' of the owners is getting us further into the mire. Did none of the Forum think to ask him why we are in this position in the first place.

The farce goes on and on.

He can't comment on what has gone on in previous years. He can only concentrate on the present and future and getting this great club back to the Premier League where everyone wants us to be.

How many times have we heard that one recently?

It seems every new employee follows the same course. Forget about what has happened 2010-2016. Just worry about the future. People like Coyle, Cheston and Senior weren't here 2-3 years ago so don't bother them with historical stuff. Lets all be really grateful to the owners for their kind generosity that they are paying bills they foolishly committed to and are responsible for, but don't complain at the owners because what's done is done.

That's how Venkys operate. Maintain a high turnover of staff in all important positions to keep the cycle going. Kean & Hunt, Kean, Shaw & Singh, Berg, Shaw & Singh, Appleton, Shaw & Singh, Bowyer & Shaw, Lambert & Myers, Coyle & Cheston, throw Senior in to the mixer. Keep it on a rotational basis.

Each staff member comes with a 'remit' and wants a 'fresh start' only to either be sacked or walk away in frustration and then the process starts again. All the while the fanbase dwindles, debt grows, league status deteriorates and Venkys remain silent.

and still thousands sleepwalk down to Ewood every week to watch a game of football, whilst everyone and anyone lines their pockets at the expense of this great football club.

But support through thick and thin is a must <_<

If you want to divert attention or cover something up then that's just how you work. Keep the staff turning over, keep the money moving so nobody can ever make head nor tail of it.

There are still thousands attending Coventry & Blackpool without kicking up a fuss, and they've arguably had it worse than us.

Think you need to accept that the collective fanbase isn't going to unite against Venky's. There will always be fans who are too tuned out to the off-field issues or too passive to get on board with protests at the club.

Forest are the latest ones in uproar, attend and back the lads/boycott/attend but protest. Protest then don't because they've signed 2 players but the problems remain. It's all kicking off between them down there.

Venkys destruction is unique in football but the divided Rovers fanbase isn't.

The trap door to League One sagged under the weight of another home defeat. Taking the game in isolation you could kid yourself into thinking it was an okay performance against a promotion chasing side. But we have already seen this countless times this season, we match a team fairly well and then concede a late goal and drop points. Take last night's game we had decent spells in the second half but I would hardly call it a brilliant performance. I remember not long back we would be on the front foot in most home and dominant play, this season I can't recall a home league game where we have looked comfortable and clearly the better team. January window was a chance to improve the defense, a new decent quality championship goalkeeper and a right back would have gone a long way to improving the side. Instead Senior brings in a player he brought in and flopped at Sheffield Wednesday in Joao. Maybe a little unfair to judge a player on his brief cameo but he did look like he could be every bit Coyle's equivalent of Anthony Modeste. The time for Coyle to go was after the Barnsley debacle, a flukey three points against Newcastle is our only win in ten league games now. I really do wonder how bad he has to be to get potted. We all know the root of our problems is the owners but getting a better manager in could be the difference between relegation and survival for this season at least. That being said the way the club is be running at the moment, with no investment and using only loans and freebies without a decent manager in charge, the slide into League One looks an inevitability. It makes me sad seeing how empty the home sections of Ewood looks, can't have been many more than about 6,500 Rovers fans on last night. If something doesn't change quickly we'll see that sort of figure being the average attendance soon. COYLE OUT! VENKYS OUT!

Speaking to Bpool fans, they actually liken it to themselves, only a few years ago. The turning point, in their own words, was when Oyston started trying to wind them up and taking people to court. We're just starting to see that, IMO - with Pasha laughing at people saying Coyle Out and taking pictures in front of protests.

Last night, Greer was horrendous - He must have kicked the ball out of play around 10-15 times and Steele's distribution was so poor, there was umpteen times when we had a chance to counter attack and he just stood there like a lemon!

The defence in general was diabolical, no organisation, no leader and no quality. The defence at times was just wide open, the two full backs would be halfway up the pitch and the 2 centre backs were about 20 yards apart, it was so poor. A lot of that comes from the manager and the coaching staff.

Isn't that our natural level, Matty? Venky's are just speeding up the devolution process.

Yep just how it is.

Though we have only spent 5 seasons in our 142 year history in the third tier, it is just cyclical that we are plunging back there, nothing at all to do with the systematic dismantling of the club on and off the pitch.

He'd have worn a well directed pint of what they pass off as ale if he'd done that near me.

Local lad with lots of friends and family here could talk and reveal more of the ongoings as opposed to any trafficked foreign mule.
