Jordan Rhodes is a fantastic goal scorer and is bound to score at least one against us. Why is Forestieri on the bench. Surely he is your best player. Last season we played PNE at Deepdale and I thought their best player was Reach.

You have a strong side and we are the worst I've seen since watching Rovers in 1951.

Ecclesfield Owl, I don't know how old you are but I've always admired the inventiveness of the Wednesday supporters in their songs. Back in the 1960s they used the opening music to "I can't get no satisfaction" by The Rolling Stones just adding the word "Wednesday" which was so original. And, of course, the brass band that toured everywhere with you.

I reckon you'll stuff us 3-0.

But remember, every dog has its day and we'll be back!

Carlos has tried various combinations up front this season. Hooper - Fletcher. Forestieri - Hooper. Winnall - Fletcher and so on. However, Winnall and Rhodes seemed the one to have most threat and of course goals in the last match. Forestieri dosent have the mentality to work as a left winger, does not track back. Our depth is frightening with the likes of Abdi, Hooper, Fletcher, McManaman on bench, just need to find a settled side now, Fridays team seemed spot on bar Lees in to replace Sasso at the back.

I expect to see a positive reaction from Saturdays poor display, a few under performers being dropped and a Rovers win.

Our home form has been terrific the past 2 seasons with only 3 home losses in the league. We aren't a team that is complacent, just hope we turn up, need to start making a gap between us and 7th.

I think the play-off final will be between yourselves and Huddersfield. Sorry but you'll lose that one.

Should hope not!! We've done double over them easily this season! On a serious not, it would be gutting to miss out at wembley again if it did come to that.

Eowl what about senior?

Not a lot was given away about his role, expect that he'd be an advisor to the Thai Chairman alongside Glenn Roeder and Adam Pearson (who quickly left for Leeds i believe(?). I know he fancied himself quite a bit, claimed he suggested Eriksen to Spurs 5 years before he signed. There was some suggestions he would operate as an international scout, but that was unconfirmed.

welcome owl.

on Senior he gave a recent interview, paraphrased that he signed 14 players at Wednesday and played a big part in your recent upturn in success.

Any truth in this or complete horseshite?

No idea, after Stuart Gray was sacked i don't think the committee had much impact on anything, especially when Cavahal was brought in, hence Senior and Hill (other advisor) leaving at end of season, i will say one thing, a few of the players Gray brought in (possibly under the influence of the committee) were not starters. Lachman, the first signing under the committee has not placed one, currently out on loan with Holland, so i doubt any of these supposed "14 signings" were influencial, doubt it's even correct.

Considering the talent at your disposal I'd say you've seriously under-achieved this season. Maybe your manager isn't all that?

Precisely!!  This is football we're talking about. Third game you lose.

With respect, from the outside it is easy to think that, however it's easy to forget the standard of football we were playing 3 seasons ago. The work ethic and style of football he's got us playing is some of the best i've seen in my lifetime. I never expected us to get top 2. Brighton are superb and Newcastle maintained a lot of their PL squad. Just hope our experience and strength in depth helps us through to PL.

Fair enough.

Brighton are 'superb' because of their manager. I'd say you have the stronger squad.

Wednesday have had an extra day between matches.  Think this will be even more critical given some of our 'ageing and frail legs'.  Expect this to be a 'match too many' for the likes of Mulgrew, Graham, Conway.

Wednesday have some very good players at this level and can only see this being a hammering by at least two goals.  You have to fear for Rovers if Wednesday net an early goal.

4-1 to Wednesday with Rhodes bagging 2 or 3.

I'm travelling up from Surrey (a nice 3 n half hour journey for me). I'm undecided whether to get up and make a day of it but not sure what's in Sheffield to do! Or just get there for about 5ish and get dinner and find an away team pub for before kick off. If the latter what are the best away pubs?
