bigbrandjohn Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 The short odds managers list is very worrying. Burnt frying pan into the fire

Can't blame him for walking when we don't have a budget to improve and are still cutting the wage bill season on season. Kean and Coyle are barely managers. I'd probably take McLeish, fortunately for you there aren't too many others with a realistic chance...maybe Pressley D:

chaddyrovers Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Sky bet. Due to reports we have taken this market down for the time being
Cherry Blue Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Does the no mention of an interim manager suggest they already have someone lined up? (sorry if this has already been covered)

RV Blue Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Please not Adkins ffs, 11th last season in League 1...
davulsukur Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Robert, Warburton are the 2 dream appointments, neither will happen. Adkins is now favourite but isn't very good, so he's pretty likely. Why anyone would want JFH is beyond me. Sherwood till the end of the season would probably do it. He comes in and galvanises a squad but once this wears off and he needs tactical ability he fails miserably. So, he'd have a good shot at keeping us up but then we'd be right back down again under next season. Johnson and Dunn in charge for the biggest game of the season? I guess they can't be worse than Coyle. Who knows, who has who lined up? I'm guessing Senior gets first pick this time but the game is which manager gets released from the rats nest (SEM) to undercut Seniors choice?
Blue blood Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Not that it matters as it is a political decision not a football one at ours but IF it were a footballing one my criteria would be multiple successes. Any manager including clueless and Ince have one success on their resume. Good managers have multiple successes - so in light of that Jackett, Rowett or Atkins(or is it Adkins?) would be my preferences. however it is not a football decision so doubt this criteria applies whatsoever.

had.e.nuff Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 It might just come down to who will work with this lot
chaddyrovers Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Why Sherwood? Doing awful Swindon. No thanks. Think he only won 3 or 4 games since November.
funny-old-game Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 David Lowe in charge of training and if no manager by Friday he will take charge of the game at Burton. Radio Lance's
Parsonblue Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Radio Lancs now reporting that David Lowe - coaches the coaches at the Academy and been here for a number of years - will be put in temporary charge if no appointment made by Friday.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 David Low taking over in the interim. Just one question - who the fook is David Low and why is he promoted above Johnno and Dunny ?
