Tony Mowbray's first home game. what are people expecting and what score are you predicting?

My team would be

Steele Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Williams Bennett Guthrie Lowe Mahoney Emnes Graham

Subs:- Raya Brown Feeney Tomlinson Conway Joao Gallagher

I will predict a 2 nil Rovers win.

If we score first we can win it. If they score first it will be difficult. I think we can do it.

I wouldn't be expecting wholesale changes. I'm not sure if I would like Greer back in. I think he is a bit of a liability. I would prefer mulgrew in midfield, but needs must.

I predict we will be unchanged from the Burton game.

Going to go 2-1 rovers

Great time to be playing an out of form Derby who've had a disastrous month.

Can't see anything other than a Tony Mowbray inspired Rovers win by the odd goal.

Bet of the week - Derby by two.

A bit more air out of the balloon and a 0-0 draw

Really hope not Tom.

At the risk of being accused of bigging things up (apparently this is not cool), we really need to win on Tuesday.

We do Stuart. Home games are going to be pivotal. Need to start winning now.

We absolutely need to win I would say, home game against a team that really are neither here nor there you have to target 3 points.

If not we need some unlikely wins down the road to stand a chance.

Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Greer,Williams, Mahoney, Guthrie, Mulgrew, Gallagher,

Stokes, Emnes

Which is a notch or twelve down from:

Gennoe, Price, Hendry, Mail, Sulley, Gayle, Ardiles, Barker, Sellars,

Garner, Archibald

Would love to go back thirty years (gulp!) and watch those lads again!

Mercer will predict a 16-6 win but I'm going for a 1-3 scoreline

derby will have earmarked this for weeks as a 3 pointer

appointing another serial failure as a manager won't change owt

Possibly the worst post of all time on this board.

Don't torture yourself!

It still seems amazing that we had an ex-Barcelona player at the club back then. What a player.

Unfortnately for us Lowe came up against the worst central  midfield pairing I've seen this season at Burton, therefore I expect he will stay in there unless TM has seen him for whath he really is.

I am in your corner on this.

Our next 3 games are all winnable and I am sure TM will go for it.

I hope he is able to play both Mulgrew and Guthrie midfield.

Rovers 2 Derby 1

Not one of the current team with the possible exception of Mulgrew would get into that team. That shows more than a thousand words how far we've fallen as a club.

It's interesting to see how that team would have been set up.

Two out and out strikers. Two attacking wide players. Two attacking centre midfield players.

Compare that to today's defensive stodge with teams having two defensive centre mids etc.

No wonder the football they played was much more end to end and exciting.

Rovers 1   Derby 1

If he tightens the back door it's likely to affect attacking play that's just the way it is when you've a weak team. The balance in the squad isn't right and hasn't been for years so focusing on one area is usually detrimental to others. We'll just have to keep grinding away i think and hope for the best, damage already done by god awful owners and parasitic partners, Coyle added to that so Mowbrays first job is try and limit it.
