Who needs Ed Balls in No 11 when Osborne and Hammond have been doing the job for him ?  They've adopted many of Labour policies since 2010 and some of the stuff in recent Budgets could been written by Ed himself.

Can't see why you wouldn't want an well known British figure as chairman - perhaps you're happy with our Indian owners and their managerial decisions over the past 6 years.

Think I'd lay off whatever you are taking Jim!

If you seriously think Brown, Balls, Labour, Corbyn, McDonnell etc had / have any sort of economic credibility then it's laughable.  Labour under Corbyn equals Rovers under Venky's - totally disastrous.

I've never taken to Ed Balls. I just don't like the guy. Having said that I'd have him in at Rovers instead of the Chokers like a shot.

Not a likeable guy.  Was giving it big in the directors' box at Ewood on first day of the season.  Unfortunately, bumped into him after the match and could have swung for him.

It's laughable that you don't already think it's disastrous.

Labour's economic record under Blair / Brown / Darling includes one of the longest periods of economic growth on record - and they steered us out of the worst worldwide financial crisis since the 1930s.

You also do realise that despite 6 years of "austerity" Osborne managed to borrow more than every Labour govt in history combined?

Anyway, back to the Norwich v Rovers match and blaming Ed Balls for Norwich's poor recent form.

A bit delusional there Jim.

On leaving office in 2010, Labour's Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Liam Byrne, left the following note to his Conservative / Liberal successor (David Laws) :

Dear Chief Secretary

I'm afraid there is no money.

Kind regards - and good luck!

Liam

Says it all about Labour's massive economic incompetence and ignorance leaving the UK virtually bankrupt.

Anyhow, as you say, let's now leave politics out of it - we've enough to worry about in Rovers!

You do realise it was intended as a joke?

And if you think the Tories have your interests at heart you might as well stick your head in the sand.

You brought up politics with your silly comments about Ed Balls -which needed answering.

Come on Rovers - let's beat the Ed Balls XI !!

Casino banking may have had something to do with that GLOBAL financial crisis of which you speak. Unless, of course, you're blaming Labour for the collapse of Lehman Brothers?

Anyway, down with politics and up the Rovers*

*It appears you can go off-topic if you say this.

Conservatives backed GoBro every step of the way. If we've learnt anything from recent politics it's that if you throw enough @#/? it sticks... Seems Mercerman is full of @#/?.

I was optimistic for a draw before Neil got potted last night, I can't see us getting anything out of this. Hoping to see Graham start myself and maybe Mulgrew in the middle with Guthrie.

Match commentary on Radio Norfolk may be interrupted by a protest by a herd of Norfolk farmers looking for Alan.

Bloody Norfolk farmers. If they see a lovely field with a family having a picnic, and there’s a nice pond in it, they fill in the pond with concrete, plough the family into the field,  blow up the tree, and use the leaves to make a dress for their wife who’s also their brother.
