lets all hope you can attain that lofty status eh, at least then we wont be bored to tears with your inane whiney drivel.

Not being happy with graphic porn being posted on a family-orientated football forum = whiney drivel.

Good to know.

You're such a 'lad'.

PM me if you want to carry on embarrassing yourself.

JacknOry said that yesterday, are you related?

It's brilliant to have new members on the site, but also pointless if they are all the same person I find. They all seem to say exactly the same thing eventually.

And what would I get out of having 2 accounts? Pillock. I'm sure the mods can tell you we aren't the same person...

And please quote where JacknOry said the same thing as me?

And about the alledged U-turn ..............anybody still interested? :unsure::blink:

Just thought an on topic post might be relevant.

Just proves WWs selfish self interest far outweighs his love for Rovers. There's nothing that makes this in any way acceptable.

Is WW the boss/owner of the whole WEC outfit or an employee?

If this  is indeed WW's own decision, I would be interested in the reasoning...or maybe not!

I think that eventually WW and WEC will be forced to try and clear the air but doubt that it will be via this MB. He previously stated that he would only discuss RT on here if he knew the names of those he was in discussion with. I imagine the same will apply now.

I don't see too much of an issue with this tbh,

WEC and Rovers have had a relationship for many years, with WEC making things for the academy , WEC's own academy and community work often comes hand in hand with many of rovers own community work.

The sponsorship wouldn't of cost much and gives WEC some local and national recognition as they branch out new offices around the UK.

As a business owner, I find some of rovers sponsorship deals good value, and have sponsored games, been ball sponsor to entertain our customers at sensible money.

The BRFCAG and the Rovers trust also have sponsored players up until last season, which is pretty much the same , and something I endorsed also when a member of both.

Wayne ain't everyone's cup of tea, we personally don't speak, haven't done in two years. Probably one of the reasons I did not put myself for the Rovers Trust this time , despite him stepping down.

I'd still hold small hope that the current trust board will remain and the new candidates join together with the old guard, to get that movement and desire moving again.

Being on a committee is hard, but is even harder without the correct structure and skills. Grabko has his financial skills, Wayne has a high portfolio of business and figurehead contacts. In business what he touches turns to gold, Neil Thornton is PR by trade and this vital free service is something that would now need funding. WEC'S own marketing team so so much for free to promote the trust , whilst Wayne himself has probably put around £10k of his own money into helping fund various movements by other groups which are not trust related , and has also put a lot into the trust cash wise. Above that he has put hours and hours of personal time, which time is money into so much to fight the supporters corner. Over 6 years , that time wouldn't add up to a directors salary if looked at on a hourly rate basis

Am I happy with the trusts stagnation ? No , it's been terrible, but these guys don't need replacing , they need fresh blood, fresh ideas and help.

Just my opinion

I think Bill Hick's quote aptly sums up this about turn.

“Here’s the deal, folks. You do a commercial - you’re off the artistic roll call, forever. End of story. Okay? You’re another whore at the captialist gang bang and if you do a commercial, there’s a price on your head. Everything you say is suspect and every word that comes out of your mouth is now like a turd falling into my drink.”

Blueboy may find offence at those harsh words.

I appreciate that Wayne has put lots of effort and finance into ridding our club of its incompetent owners - and I thanked him for his efforts when I spoke to him. That's perhaps why I am so confused (and annoyed) that he would support the present regime in any way

but as you say Glen - business is business so maybe I am over reacting

What I wouldn't do for a living bill Hicks be a rovers fan. He would have a few home truths. True legend

Well this is nonsense. About 5 of the apparent 'clique' were banned recently, 1 of whom is a mate of mine.

Recently the mod team took a stance of banning personal attacks or general nastiness. Unfortunately, newbies (who we don't know over time, so can't tell the tone of posts) get caught up in that.

I do, however, agree with Tom that it's time to relax again and tare a step back. I won't apologise for the 'week' bans, as I felt it was justified when posters are being told what's what by people who haven't been here 2 minutes.

But I'm happy to go along with the general feeling of relaxing the moderation again if other mods agree.

Just goes to show my point. Seasoned posters are allowed to throw name calling and accusations around 'because mods know them and their tone - apparently' but new posters 'tones' are immediately perceived to be terrorist attacks. Tones should not even come into it - new posters do not understand the tones of 'seasoned posters' and will react in kind to being called various names, accused of being past or present posters, venky spies, agents, Jason Lowe, or whoever else the sycophantic conspiracy theorists will think up next.

Why is every new poster treated with such suspicion? I have read it for years (cue the reply saying 'not the first time today a new poster has come here saying that blah blah blah')

Tone or not - name calling, accusations, flaming, and the like should be treated equally whether posters have been here 2 days or 20 years.

Mike, i knew an apology would not be coming - having read over the years - that's not your style. So 1 out of 5 of the recently banned were your mates? Hardly a good marker is it? Probably under pressure from the powers that be rather than it being your own decision. You still let your mates get away scot-free while you ban me for the following:

"Nobody said anything about being taken seriously. I would obviously agree with you and actually do agree with the 'sentiment' of what GAV is saying. That is not my point. It is the belittling and treatment that King Gav hands out to anyone that has a different view that winds me up...yet he calls others WUM's. Then he always sites how he is a seasoned poster as if that makes him more of a fan and more in the know.

Anyway, nice to meet most of you. "

I expect another ban and could care less - coming here and finally signing up just confirmed my suspicions. You all go on about how football is nothing but an old boys club - yet this board is no different at all.

Gav, Stuart, jim, will confirm that we are not mates. I haven't ever met any of them, and we have regular spats.

If you think it's 'style' to not apologise, then you can't have been reading very long at all. In my 8 years or so on here, I'm probably one of those who backs down in an argument most often, usually because my arguments are weak. Again, the trio above (and probably others) will confirm that.

This isn't a place for 'my mates', as closest 2 are Abbey (who only know from Ewood, and was banned), Tom (who I last saw at B&Q this time last year), and the blokes from the WMC meetings; none of whom are part of your point.

Anyway... that Wayne Wild, eh?

Yep Abby - the one you were under pressure to ban...was quite obvious he was the one you spoke about.

Still no comment on my post and why it deserved a ban over what a certain 'seasoned poster' and his allowed 'tone' was posting at the time before and after it. No name calling, (planks, bricks, or whatever the latest term is) - just defending a persons right to have an opinion.

I suggest a polite warning via PM to any new posters that you feel are getting a bit too close to challenging the opinions of seasoned posters who are vastly more knowledgeable and by far more superior fans (because their post counts say so) rather than insta-banning them for nothing.

Here is a question, what is the difference between WEC sponsoring the Social Media and both BRAG or the Rovers Trust sponsoring a player?

Unless I'm missing something obvious, not a lot I would have thought...

TBF I'm quite overly critical of the trust BUT also very grateful for them putting a framework in place, getting things of the ground whilst i respect they've got very professional key individuals in certain roles which may hinder certain aspects but at the same time are required with the uses of contact, sponsorship, skills and ability to network in the right areas with influential people externally.

I think existing members perhaps should have put a branch out as opposed to resigning fully on reflection of certain facts. It's evident they need substantial help to progress and build more momentum and there are people about who could facilitate with this.

Main gripes I've seen on here is a lack of communication, judging by some of the quality posters still left on here and previously then there is no shortage of people who could help with that but I've never seen the RT respond to this fully. The funding option of the trust per year is also quite a difficult thing to garner for some fans, i do believe by perhaps asking people to buy say £5.00/£10.00 worth of shares in the Trust then they'd have an opportunity to feel at least more part of the trust whilst probably financing the day to day requisites of the trust, i'm aware Wayne i think it was looked at employing people previously. Currently for £10.00 though the price of two pints in Manchester/London then it's something which if aligned correctly is a reason/something that every Rovers fan should look at purchasing.

Obviously Wayne and co are standing down but i've not heard anything concerning a hand over and how they maybe able to assist a new board going forwards?

Sink or swim time really. I felt personally after the withdrawal of the WEC stand sponsorship then they had made a stance which was well received  by the fan base, sort of feels they've gone against this now with the social media sponsorship but as Twitter and co is reachable everywhere more commonly and frequently then it is probably more of a "business" opportunity rather than an emotional "tie".

absolutely noting to do with what I posted, but in relation to the bit in bold at the bottom about sink or swim I think the RT is finished unless whoever this new team is can somehow dramatically turn things around.

The number of people engaging with the various groups seems to be shrinking in terms of actual numbers and I base this on the numbers at recent protests, reported numbers at the Rovers Trust AGM and other information garnered from the Ewood WMC meetings.

The last time I looked there was NO information about the people standing on the Rovers Trust website or Twitter account - does anybody have any names on the people who have put themselves forward?

As LR says above transparency is the key, particularly so with regards to what has gone on at Rovers in our recent history. If Senior's wife is an agent, as it appears she is, why not say so?

Steve Hartley owns WEC. A succesful Darwener, fair play to him, he's been great for the town and I guess that's also been reciprocal. Perhaps the fact that both his and Wayne Wild's formative years in employment were forged at Walkers Steel are relevant or perhaps not.

On a different tack, what the hell's happened to this site? It's like it's been attacked by aliens: regulars of 10 years plus banished apparently? and replaced by a bunch of newbies from @#/? knows where. Have I missed sommat?
