The bit about the cleaners is a disgrace. I know someone affected.

Waste countless millions through gross negligence. Throw as much money away as possible. Generate huge debt.

Sack the tea lady, cleaners, milkman. Recoup a few hundred quid a week causing a lot of misery to those who can least afford it.

Braindead, unprofessional and cruel the lot of them. The sooner they leave...

Aye, someone is desperately searching for a job because some very rich people don't feel it's worth cleaning the seats in the stadium this summer.

Cheston's saved a few quid. He'll be a hero in Pune.

Hopefully whoever buys the club next will make it their first task to re-employ all the local people who have lost their jobs under these idiots.

"little club in Lancahire"

We were never a 'little club in Lancashire', that would be a Bury, a Fleetwood. Even through the 80s we were knocking on the door of the top flight.

However, we certainly will end up as one under these owners.

Thanks for posting. Good of the DM and Mike Newell to speak out and Chris Sutton.

If we are relegated on Sunday there will be a window of opportunity to galvanise public and media support against the Venkys and I'm sure that the EMC people and the re-energised Rovers Trust are on top of this.

This window will not last for long. A few months into next season will be too late.

It is scandalous when you consider how much money has been wasted. Even this season they have handed out contracts to geriatrics, wasters and no hopers and now decent, hard working local people (who are probably on minimum wage) are being finished.

How much have Rovers spent on wages for little or no return this season. Brown, Henley, Stokes, Evans, Greer to name a few would conservatively have cost around £60k per week. Throw in the likes of Cheston and Senior (who will both be well rewarded) and you can see money hemorraghing out of the club.

And some people still defend the Indians........................................

To be fair to the Daily Mail they seem to take more interest in our plight than most other national newspapers. They get a lot of stick from people for getting some basic facts wrong but they're never shy to run an article highlighting our demise under these cretins.

Well done also to Chris Sutton for using his position in the media to remind people what these crooks have done to a once successful club. It does irk me a little bit when he says things like 'the Venkys' - this shows some ignorance as nobody should call them 'the' Venkys. Its just Venkys. Still its good to see ex players highlighting our plight nationally and going with the same line as others have - that even if we manage to survive under Venkys the likelihood is the misery will continue regardless.

Totally agree with this - up until Venkys turned up we were getting around the 20 biggest crowds in the country, the most for any town team including for example Reading which is the largest town in the country, and two and a half times the size of Blackburn .

We are also the most successful town club both since records began and in the premier league era.

So if we are talking town clubs we are (were?) as big as they come.

Blackburn isn't a small town either. One of the favourites is to label Blackburn as an 'old' 'small' Lancashire 'mill town' in an attempt to portray it as old fashioned, out dated, run down, dilapidated, in some way beneath other industrial towns across the UK. I take it those people have never been to Manchester/Leeds/Bradford/Newcastle and had a look beyond the gentrified centres as they are worse than anything I've ever seen in Blackburn.

I never hear Manchester or Leeds described as 'mill cities'. Its a clear attempt by some to do the town down. Quite odd really when the majority of those who run with the idea have chosen to live in it all their lives.

Blackburn is a large town. Infact there are few towns in the Football League bigger by population. Reading, Middlesbrough, Bournemouth, possibly Ipswich and Luton, not many others. Of course we are hamstrung somewhat by the competition on our doorstep of Manchester, Liverpool, Bolton, Preston etc. and the vast number of FL clubs nearby, but that doesn't make Blackburn a small town.

Lancashire (real Lancs) is a victim of it's own success. As the heartland of the game, the town clubs are usually hemmed in by other town clubs, plus four big city clubs in the region.

Look at Middlesbrough, not a 'big' place, but Boro have the luxury of being the only decent sized club between Leeds and Sunderland

For those who have said Mowbray hasn't made much difference, since coming in (14 games) his record is as follows:-

Won 4, Drawn 7, Lost 3, Scored 14, Conceded 15, GD -1, Points 19

Coyle after 14 games:-

Won 3, Drawn 3, Lost 8, Scored 13, Conceded 22, GD -9, Points 12

Under Coyle we were 22nd and 2 points behind Derby after 14 games, with Mowbrays record we would have been joint 11th 4 points off the play offs.

Over the course of the season with Coyle and going off his averages etc, we would have finished with 43 points, therefore down maybe 2-3 weeks ago.

With Mowbray over the course of the season and going off his averages etc, we would have finished with 62 points, which would have seen us finishing around 11th/12th position, having a similar season to Preston.

...and that is tragedy of this season. It was all so avoidable if they hadn't appointed Coyle.

We could have been on the beach Sunday, in flip-flops, slurping on a Pina colada. Instead, we're stuck on the north face of the Eiger wearing Dunlop Green Flash, drinking our own urine and wondering how the hell we are going to get down.
