If he'd had the desired effect on the players he had adequate time to keep us up. It looks like he's going to come up just short which isn't his fault but I haven't seen much in the way we've performed since be took over (as opposed to bare results) to suggest he can lead us to success long term. Coventry fans had the same glimmer that he could turn a sows ears into a silk purse

Ozz Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 TM suggested at the EFL mandatory meeting that he wanted to play three at the back to allow him to get all the btetter midfirlders in the starting line up. I thought at the time that it sounded crazy and today proved so.
garnersfags Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 I have a question: Did anyone, at 3pm or earlier, agree with Mowbray's team selection? Or think it may work in this game?

The doomsday scenario is that they never leave and somehow manage to keep us going forever more. It's such a spirit-rushing notion that I couldn't imagine still caring if that ever became evident. God knows how Blackpool fans are coping, I guess it could be us next?

Venkys are the reason for my boycott, otherwise i would still be there

Imo unless you've got a 22 year old Alan Shearer up front you're always losing possession and the ball is always coming straight back at you.
Mike Graham Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 The evening has brightened up. A flash advert on BRFCS has asked me if I would like to meet up and date a Ukrainian girl !! Glenn, do you know her? How much are you paying her?

I didn't at 3pm and by 3.20pm it was obviously not working. Even if he didn't want to make subs, TM could have changed the shape with the personnel on the pitch.

Absolutely disgusting, you don't deserve anything but the sh1te you're being served up.

Mike Graham Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 I will put my neck on the line. I though JayLo had a decent 2nd half. Our best performer; vital tackles and good distribution.
blueboy3333 Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 The booing of Lowe was a disgrace, especially after he was given MoM. I thought he had a decent game. There were far worse out there today.

JHRover Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Coventry's owners have basically admitted via their fall guy chairman that their only concern is to try and minimise losses and run the club on an even keel. You can read all about it in an interview he did earlier this season. He basically told the fans to forget about them leaving any time soon because they had got losses down to a much lower level and so weren't bothered about leaving as it wasn't costing them much. I expect this is the path we'll be following in the event we drop down there. As long as they can find a way to fund it and a few players to sell for cash every few seasons they won't be in a rush to leave. I don't know how Oyston is funding Blackpool on gates of 2,000 but he doesn't seem to be any nearer to leaving either.

But it came across to me as him saying that to choose to walk away from Ewood is a weak thing to do. Very hypocritical stance from.someone who doesn't like boycotters calling attendees. 'Walking away when the going gets tough' is one of the hardest things to do, while Parson appeared to impact it's easy, weak, or giving up. That was my perception of it and it definitely comes across as a superiority complex.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Just another bad day at Black Rock Rovers.

Lack of being loaned out and playing competitive games at a first team level somewhere shows with lads like this it was the same with Henley. After CM had been out a few years ago and done ok he should have been sent out again to help develop the physical side of things as well as mental strength. Seen this happen to a few down the years they lose their way when they are flung in game after game when they aren't ready. TM was talking about in game management and player management being lacking at Rovers when he came and he's 100% right but he's ballsing it up himself now and has been for weeks. Nyambe, Grant Hanley and the like get away with it better because they are more physical but i'd say even Lowe years ago was chucked in way before ready and that seriously hampered him keep playing him just because he ran around for 90 min.

Their wage bill must be quite low now and whatever company vehicle they are using to run it can probably absorb the losses whilst giving tax advantages and commercial / advertising benefits for their many satellite businesses. Just a handy business tool at the end of the day so they won't care they ran it like that for years before it briefly took off and made them a fortune.

I was on my way into the ground when the teams were read out but I didn't notice any particular heckling at that point. If there was its very poor form because as poor as he is it isn't his fault he keeps getting picked. I only noticed heckling when he was awarded the MOM award. I think that's ia different matter as it was fairly understandable in many ways. He'd been poor imo, we hadn't got the result we needed in a vital game and Raya should quite clearly have got the award for me. What are the fans meant to do at that exact point, cheer wildly at the sponsors choice or voice their dissatisfaction?
