Id heard suggestions from some less credible sources but to here the Home Secretary admit that sends shivers down my spine. They know how to deal with this crap, but they don't want to @#/? on their Saudi chips. Scum.
philipl Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Feeling remarkably calm about an election which will determine my future life. Took the first steps to taking a different nationality today. Or rather to retaining my European citizenship. Once a Rovers-supporting European citizen, always a Rovers-supporting European citizen.
den Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Exit polls have never missed a party's final seat count by more than 20
Backroom DE. Posted June 8, 2017 Backroom Posted June 8, 2017 I expect a Conservative majority, it's just a case of how much of a majority they get. Either way I don't think May has much of a future as Tory leader.

jim mk2 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Caution required but good news if correct. May will have to go
Backroom DE. Posted June 8, 2017 Backroom Posted June 8, 2017 A hung parliament is the best any ABC (all but conservative) could hope for.
jim mk2 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Sky and BBC both reporting gloom in Tory camp. SNP figure looks too low - not sure what's happening there

jim mk2 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Assuming a hung parliament will that mean another election?

Can not see any of the other parties (with required number of seats) forming a coalition with the conservatives to form a Government this time. They could run as a minority government. which will be chaotic. Other option is a re-run
JBiz Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 What's the biggest percentage an exit poll has been out? From a bit of research it looks a maximum of 20 seats which is still a massive "May" up!
den Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 No exit poll has been more than 20 seats out for a party. I guess most of them have been fairly accurate.
Dreyski Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 2015 had a 22 seat discrepancy. Not much, I know. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.independent.co.uk/News/uk/politics/all-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-british-election-exit-poll-a7779821.html%3Famp
Baz Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 The exit poll in Scotland may be out, as there's not as high a % of the population been polled. Trouble with the received numbers so far.

perthblue02 Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 An idea of what can still happen, going to be an interesting night http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/june2017/2017/06/election-2017-what-happens-if-theres-hung-parliament
