How intriguing -I had always assumed there are plenty of club apparatchiks around.

edit

IT'S ABBEY AND I CLAIM MY £5 😉

There’s definitely one hiding in plain sight.

maybe this Abbey chap is another one, a sort of Kim Philby character who will be called back to the motherland at some point to spend his remaining days in Pune.

Not quite sure where else to put this, but I know Steve Williams is superb on his club history, and I know @Miller11 and @Mike Graham have done stadium stuff before:

To the left of the Exec Lounge in the BBE there are a series of framed old-school jerseys that are VERY cool, but I can’t figure out why they’re there. They are all 50s/60s era:

A purple Real Madrid jersey.

An Ajax jersey.

A Juventus jersey.

A Brazil jersey (seemingly attributed to Pele).

Anyone know the connection or why the club have them? Please enjoy my extremely subtle photography skills…

Well given that Gestede and Park have come in today. Looks that got signed off by them

The budget should have been sorted irrelevant to which staff came in. A normal club would have decided before the season finished upon budgets for each league. It shouldnt require a meeting in India over a month after the season, simple as that.

So funds have been requested from the owners to cover the 24-25 season and for strengthening the squad and the August court case is relevant.

We'll see I suppose I personally think he's lying out of his backside.

I don’t think it says that and note Waggott’s answer is so ambiguous.

This needs a simple yes or no response from him, that he simply won’t give, so we have to draw we are left to draw our own conclusions.

Q. Steve, just so that we know can you please answer yes or no? Are the owners allowed to transfer funds from India,  right now to help with signing players in this summers transfer window.

No way will he answer that with a yes or no.

I’m presuming there was a more detailed discussion on transfer budgets, as that is what is ultimately going to have a huge bearing on if we are involved in another relegation battle or not.

I appreciate you can’t put everything in the release, but what impression did you get from the meeting? Are we to expect budget cuts like last summer, or is there a desire to support the new manager with some decent money?

It clearly says that. The operation costs include money for strengthening the squad.

At least it confirms that the money generated from transfers never makes it to the club coffers, it just disappears off to India.

I dunno, there answer seemed quite clear to me...

WATR were advised that there was no current impediments to allow the Owners funding the Club in the future and that the Delhi High Court case in August does not involve the running of the Club.

SW informed WATR that funds had been requested from the Owners to cover operational costs for the forthcoming 24/25 season that included looking at strengthening the squad for the coming season.

Of course we'll soon see if it transpires, like i said I think it's window dressing.
