Rover_Shaun Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Absolutely seething. Remember this peeps when you contemplate this temporary setback Quote Every penny you spend is a big thumbs up to the Venky plan.

I like the bloke in general, and he's particularly scathing tonight (far more than he has been (allowed to) on Radio Lancs). you got a link can't find it but i'm a dullard with technology!
A cup of beans Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 I listened on the bbc radio app. Try googling iplayer radio 5live... and under schedule -It's the 7pm show Hope that helps.
Neil Weaver Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Dunnfc - try this from about 11 mins for 15 mins or so. It's the most critical about Venky's I've ever heard Bayes. Health and safety warning though - turn it off before old Droopy starts about Small Heath.

Cherry Blue Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Well done Andy Bayes. Mentions list of players signed for large sums on big salaries, including a BBC colleague Danny Murphy, a player who dodged 50/50 tackles. Can't watch MOTD these days. A good listen.

Even admitted he was never the best player at school just perused it more than other kids did but yeah he was good. Cracking vid on youtube of him setting up Andy Cole on his debut. Lived 3 doors down from me once upon a time and still lives in the Lower Darwen area. I remember him telling me he only had 10% vision in his 'bad' eye after the incident at Newcastle. It makes you wonder how good he could have been with 100% vision. A really good down to earth lad though.

I just hope someone reminds the smarmy prick how his pal Coyley's record lines up against Mowbray's and how he'd already pretty much consigned us to the drop. Maybe throw in how Kean's doing in Brunei too just to ram home how the two-bit journo ain't got a clue.
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 The fact that the statement has 'notwithstanding' in it points straight at Cheston. Can't imagine that one being high in the list of Indian terminology.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 I was angry before, to the extent of not going to any games this season. I love our club, my club for 40 years. Whoever wrote that, has no part in what happens next. I distrust and hate what "they" say. Horrible nasty creatures, feck off!

That being said, hopefully it means they will pay the bills for the forseeable as that's my greatest concern at this moment in time. This has to end in a sale doesn't it? Surely we can't go on like this much longer?
Mike Graham Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Henry Winter slates the statement in The Times (subscription) this morning. link posted below in my following post.....

Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Henry Winter is a bloody good journalist. He has consistently fought Rover's and the fans' corner. He would be one of a very select few that I would rate up there with Peter White on that front.
