Reports in the national media are linking Newcastle with a £1 million move for Rovers striker Jason Roberts. Last week Roberts expressed dissatisfaction at not getting regular first team football at Rovers this season.

In other news Morten Gamst Pedersen's agent has told the Lancashire Telegraph that his client is happy at Ewood Park but would not be drawn on whether he would sign a new contract. Rovers are hoping to get a decision from Morten ahead of the Arsenal game.
