Ticket1-300x187.jpgHaving secured their status as a Premier League club in dramatic fashion at Wolves on Sunday, Rovers have been quick to announce the season ticket prices for the coming 2011–12 season. Fans will welcome the continuation of a policy that sees the club yet again leading the way in offering fans an affordable matchday experience.

Fears that the club would hike the prices of season tickets under new owners Venky's have proven to be unfounded, and the Rovers will once again be one of the cheapest places to watch football anywhere in the country. Adult season tickets for the Blackburn End and the Riverside, for example, are just £225, which represents tremendous value at the equivalent of less than £12 per game over the course of the season. And fans can still take advantage of direct debit instalment plans to spread the cost.

Juniors under 16 will be able to get their season tickets for as little as £85, which works out at under £4.50 a game, while family groups can qualify for a 10% discount with the introduction of a Family Season Ticket, valid in the Blackburn End Family Stand only.

Fans who took advantage of the chance to go in the Darwen End this last season and claim seats on the day will be happy that the unreserved seating section will be kept for the new season. The 19-game season ticket for the Darwen End is also priced at £225 while a new 16-game ticket is being introduced for £165.

Commenting on the new season ticket prices, managing director Tom Finn said: "Our strategy of offering the most affordable football in the Premier League has proved particularly successful in recent seasons, both in terms of atmosphere/attendances and our impressive record here at Ewood Park.

"Our owners, who have exciting plans for the future of the club, are keen to continue the pricing policy which has been so welcomed by fans.

"Our season ticket prices represent incredible value in comparison not only to our top-flight rivals, but within football as a whole.

"In trying times financially for fans, we felt that it was hugely important to show continuity in our pricing structure, as well as to reward the supporters for their superb backing again this season."

Season tickets are on sale from 9am tomorrow — Thursday, 26 May. Renewal packs for current season ticket holders are due to arrive in the post from the middle of next week, but tickets can be renewed from tomorrow at the Roverstore at Ewood or online via www.onerovers.co.uk. The new Family Season Ticket, meanwhile, can only be purchased via the Roverstore because of the terms and conditions involved and also note that all season ticket holders should retain their season ticket card for use next season. The deadline for existing season ticket holders to claim their seat and the deadline for direct debit applications is Thursday, 30 June.
