Although still sponsorless, the shirts are not of a previously used design, so are assumed to be the official 2011/2012 design. The shirts have already divided opinion because whilst they are still blue and white halves, the colours on the back have been reversed, so the colour on the front wraps around onto the rear as can be seen in the close-up photo here. Although Rovers have had the colours reversed on the rear before, it is believed that it has not been done since the 1960s. Despite the reversed colours on the rear of the shirt, overall response to the design is very positive. However, Rovers fans eager to get their hands on a replica shirt will probably have to wait a little longer as it is unlikely the shirt would go on sale without a sponsor. To date, no sponsor has been confirmed for the 2011/2012 season. * BRFCS wish to thank the Lancashire Telegraph's Ian Singleton for the accompanying image, which was taken during the LT's coverage of the Rovers Reserves' game at Kendal Town.
