vdb
Under-fire Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has been told by owners Venky's that he faces lengthy talks with them in order to look at the team's recent performance. Talking to Sky Sports News, Venkatesh Rao said: "I have spoken with Steve and we are working on our weak points. We are going to sit down over the next week and have a very big discussion over this." He added: "And I am sure we are going into the depth of it. Believe me, myself, my sister, my brother, all of us, are going to sit and have long chat and come out with some plan of action." Venkatesh Rao also welcomed the recent supporter protests. "If the fans are happy, we are happy. As I have been telling, it is like a family and we should know what the fans totally feel about it. Especially, we like to have their voice. Also, it is very important for the club and the feel of the club. And also I think it is an open interaction, so we know exactly where we are going wrong, where we are doing good and where we can improve ourselves." Steve Kean is also alleged to have threatened Sky Sports News reporter James Cooper. The Sun reports that last Tuesday at a bar in the Marriott Hotel in Munich after the Bayern v Manchester City game, Kean was with Sky pundit Alan McInally and Sky Sports reporter Geoff Shreeves. The Sun report claims that Cooper introduced himself to the group and moved away to have a drink with other colleagues. Twenty minutes later Kean, totally unprovoked, approached Cooper and was seen remonstrating with him. The Sun claims that the incident left Cooper visibly shaken and the situation was eventually calmed by a cameraman. Pressure has mounted on Steve Kean over recent weeks due to Rovers' poor start to the season which has seen the team lose five out of their opening seven games.
