[Archived] News Article -> 2011/12 Half-Time: Norwich City 0 Rovers 1

Recommended Posts

Rovers go into the break 1-0 up thanks to a wonderful individual goal from Junior Hoilett. It had looked as though the sides would go in level, but as time ran out in injury time of the first half the Rovers' winger beat two Norwich defenders on the edge of the box before firing an unstoppable shot into the top corner.

Formica went close early on with a powerful shot from outside the area, before then slipping a delicate pass through to Yakubu, who fired high and wide. At the other end Fox tested Robinson from distance, with the Rovers' keeper getting down well.

There was a nasty collision between Givet and Pedersen, but thankfully neither player was seriously injured and both have been able to continue.
