A letter that gives an astonishing insight into the breakdown of communication between new owners Venky's and the Blackburn Rovers board shortly after the change in ownership has been published on the Sporting Intelligence website by Nick Harris of the Mail on Sunday.

The letter, dated 4 January 2011, is addressed to Venky's chairperson Mrs Desai and is signed by then chairman John Williams, managing director Tom Finn and finance director Martin Goodman. In a damning indictment of the running of the club by Venky's, the letter also brings into question the role of SEM in transfer dealings and the authority of Steve Kean.
