The home side have been flat for much of the half and have struggled to create chances and can consider themselves lucky not to be behind. Barnsley took the lead when Mellis scored just after the half hour mark when his fine effort from the right-hand side of the penalty area beat Paul Robinson. It looked as though Barnsley would lead at half-time, but in injury time Jordan Rhodes grabbed a goal to celebrate his home debut.
