Alan75 Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 Following last weeks run out in the reserve game against Middlesbrough David Dunn is set to play in the reserves against Villa at the Bescot Stadium tomorrow night in his comeback from calf and hamstring injuries. The return to fitness of the England international midfielder is a blessing for Rovers Manager Graeme Souness, following the announcement that suspended David Thompson has undergone surgery on a knee problem, an injury that he has been carrying for a couple of weeks. It is reported that the club have taken the opportunity to carry out the surgery, whilst Thompson is serving a two-match ban for accumulating ten yellow cards so far this season. Reports would suggest that the surgery involved the removal of some debris from around the knee and it is anticipated that his recovery shouldn't take to long.
