"The second round sees the 13 bottom Premier League teams from last season enter the draw, with the seven teams in European competition entering in the third round. Last season's promoted Championship sides (Newcastle, Brighton and Huddersfield) will also enter at the second round stage.

That gives as total of 50 teams in the hat for the second round. The teams are split evenly into unseeded and seeded sides based on their league position last season"

The draw is tonight after the Bury v S'land game and is on Sky Sports around half 9-ish.

We could get the Dingles!

You could argue it's good for lower league clubs to get a big team. The gate receipts, tv money and the experience of playing in an old Trafford for example, is something their fans may not get to experience otherwise. 

Plus as TM has said, we aren't going to win it anyway

Could be. It could also be that they are trying to revive interest for the sake of the sponsors and that having the bigger teams at Wembley will help. Didn't Bradford get to the final a few years ago when it wasn't seeded?

Yep. I always remember Nicky Campbell's comments on 5 Live, when the FA Cup semi final draw had "secured" Rovers v Chelsea and Utd v Watford.

The balls in the microwave certainly worked that day. For the first FA Cup final at the 'new' Wembley why would they want Rovers or Watford there.

Pederson's balls should have been put in a microwave for missing that far post header at Old Trafford - otherwise Rovers probably would have been there......

We're not going to win the thing so what's the point in wanting an easier draw? A prem club either at home or away would be decent, wouldn't mind a Tuesday night beer up in Newcastle!

I may be remembering incorrectly but I seem to recall they didn't even announce Wembley as the venue until the semi finals were finished either! Talk about belt and braces!
