Hasta Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Next round is seeded so guaranteed "money spinner" against a prem or top championship club. Quote

blueboy3333 Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Copied from elsewhere:- "The second round sees the 13 bottom Premier League teams from last season enter the draw, with the seven teams in European competition entering in the third round. Last season's promoted Championship sides (Newcastle, Brighton and Huddersfield) will also enter at the second round stage. That gives as total of 50 teams in the hat for the second round. The teams are split evenly into unseeded and seeded sides based on their league position last season" The draw is tonight after the Bury v S'land game and is on Sky Sports around half 9-ish. We could get the Dingles! Rant - WTF are they seeding teams for. Just so the 'big' teams progress. Load of bollards. Quote

The gate receipts, tv money and the experience of playing in an old Trafford for example, is something their fans may not get to experience otherwise. Plus as TM has said, we aren't going to win it anyway Edited August 10, 2017 by Bigdoggsteel Quote

tomphil Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 (edited) Away at Villa probs , not long ago we'd have been saying not them again but right now it's an attractive proposition. Edited August 10, 2017 by tomphil 2 Quote

It could also be that they are trying to revive interest for the sake of the sponsors and that having the bigger teams at Wembley will help. Didn't Bradford get to the final a few years ago when it wasn't seeded? Quote

The balls in the microwave certainly worked that day. For the first FA Cup final at the 'new' Wembley why would they want Rovers or Watford there. 4 Quote

Pederson's balls should have been put in a microwave for missing that far post header at Old Trafford - otherwise Rovers probably would have been there...... 10 Quote
Garage Flower Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Hope we get a Prem club draw myself hopefully one from the North. Thoroughly enjoyed playing United in the F.A Cup last season. Quote

A prem club either at home or away would be decent, wouldn't mind a Tuesday night beer up in Newcastle! Quote
