Roverthechimp Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Time for DG to show if he still gives a @#/?. Would be nice to have him back in form...
Stuart Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Looking forward to this. It’s like an U23s competitive fixture.
skous18 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Have I missed something with Tomlinson? I thought that he will play some part in the team this year

Stuart Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 They need to increase ticket prices for these games. There are some proper oddballs in this evening.

Stuart Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Possibly the worst game I’ve ever watched - including pub team matches.
Backroom Tom Posted October 3, 2017 Backroom Posted October 3, 2017 We're losing Cancel the plans for Wembley

Bigdoggsteel Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Sounded like a grim affair. So are the youngsters not as good as we thought?
USABlue Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Sounded truly awful, turned over by Bury at home. Good job venkies. Any positives at all from this? Please any attendees tell me there was something.

tomphil Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Good run out for some of the kids and bench fodder although the kids will be staying with the kids and the fodder will stay on the bench by the sounds. Advance tickets are only a fiver for this comp but that's probably 4 pound too much, farcical competition.
Stuart Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Some real no shows from Whittingham and Graham. No energy whatsoever. Gladwin is a poor man’s Alex Marrow. I wouldn’t pick him for the reserves. I want my fiver back.

Our own U23s side would have buried us.

RV Blue Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Whittingham is embarrassingly bad, Gladwin is even worse. Tony's made some really bad signings. Horrible game.
arbitro Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 That performance and attitude must really worry Mowbray if he has to rely on the likes of Whittingham, Graham, Conway, Gladwin and Harper for the first team. The very least I expected was for them to bust a gut and give Mowbray some food for thought but they were shockingly bad. Poor is being kind to them.

Not sure I’ll bother turning up for the next Checkatripe game. Let’s face it, the players don’t. I’d make them reimburse everyone who paid tonight.
Oldgregg86 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 That is by far the worst football game I have ever witnessed at any level. Gladwin and Graham where atrocious. Sam Hart is not good enough to play football fullstop, for anyone at any level.

Shocking really how that switched off attitude still prevails at Rovers amongst some senior players, some of them genuinely aren't assed about anything other than going through the motions and getting paid.
roversfan99 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Absolutely horrendous, Gladwin deserves a special mention, if he plays again its too soon. Dont feel that any of the young lads made a lasting contribution either.
