So they are saying Mulgrew linked to Shef Weds, don't know if true, but always said he won't be with us at start of season, nothing to do with Venkys or Mowbray,he's always said he dosent want to play in league 1,Mowbray knows that and I don't think they will stand in his way,bit different with Lenihan,if nobody comes up with 5/6 million he won't go,as long as he gets decent replacement we'll be ok,has Spearing signed anywhere yet,be perfect for this league.

Agreed, Mulgrew has always been the most likely given his international situation with Scotland. Be a real shame to lose him if it does happen.

I think I'd let Mulgrew go for 1.5/2m, we could get a very good replacement with that who could actually play every game, and have a load left spare. I would go for an attacking left back who can play as one of 4 or on as a wing back when we play with 3, and let Williams be Mulgrew's replacement.

Chaddy was talking about your formations mate nothing to do with Simon absolutely nothing.

On another reply of yours I, asked did the forwards receive forward passes into their feet for a goalscoring opportunity from Smallwood.

Both you and Parsonsblue have been unable to confirm this in your replies.

I did confirm this but clearly you just ignore it about forward passes.

Try going games and look for yourself.

I appreciate that players who have played in the Champions League or are a regular for their International team don't want to play in League 1 but they also need to remember that they are under contract, a contract they freely signed, and they are part of the reason why we are in league 1.

If Mowbray gets offered a good fee then great, it's win-win, but if we get offered peanuts and we reject any transfer then they just need to roll up their sleeves and get on with it.

In theory that sounds fine but it won't happen. Mowbray will get a few hundred grand at most to replace him and no more.

Wrong. The underlying reasons for Mulgrew potentially wanting out are everything to do with Venkys. They relegated us! Twice!

According to Nixon this morning; Wednesday want Mulgrew (ready to big 1m but Mowbray is standing firm), Sunderland want Steele (500k would get him), and Jason Lowe is going to Bolton (lol).

Nixon tweets

Says it Mowbray's decision if players leave.

I would leave Steele and not let Mulgrew go unless its a very good offer

But it is ok to speculate positively.

FWIW I pretty much agree regarding TM and his attitude and intentions and think he's a decent manager. However he showed he is not flawless last season so unbridled optimism perhaps is pushing it.

As for only good things - remember who owns us. Sorry to bring them up again but I'm not sure how people can only see good things when we've walking disasters for owners. It's very much within the realms of possibility and past form to undermine TM or even annoy him to the point of him leaving.

I hope they leave him to get on with things. If they do and we stay relatively injury free we should do well. However it's far from a certainty that they won't throw a spanner in the works.

I'm very much a man who looks towards the future & pretty much ignores the past. Nothing will be achieved having a negative mindset. TM has made mistakes who hasn't in there life's? if you weight up the good & the bad it's more good so that's the answer for me in front of me if it was the other way round it would be different. As the owners what will be will be there shouldn't be any foreseeable reasons for them to do anything untowards, in fact TM seems to have a good working relationship with them flying out to India for reassurances & getting them. Let's just face problems & speculate deal them at that juncture instead of preempting problems which may arise or may well not.

We dont know what money Mowbray will get to spend if Mowbray leaves.

But so far we spent around 1.5 mil on players..

Venkys seems to trust Mowbray and that can only a good thing going forward for the club

These agent planted stories do make me laugh, aye he 'stood out' all right.

http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/07/21/fulham-should-move-for-blackburn-keeper-jason-steele-ideal-repla/

If Button does leave for pastures new, Marcus Bettinelli will need competition for the number one jersey. Fulham would be wise to make Blackburn's Jason Steele a target.

The 26-year-old was a stand-out performer for Rovers last season but was powerless to save his side from relegation to League One. It is highly unlikely that he will be playing in England's third-tier for long, if at all...

Whilst Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray will be looking to keep his best players, it is likely that he would be unable to convince Steele to ply his trade in League One, especially if a Championship club comes knocking at the door.

Smallwood is a defensive midfielder, ergo I'd expect him to do the dirty work, receive the ball and pass it to someone better than him. (In the mould of, but obviously nowhere near as good as Kante, Makelele etc). It's a bit like expecting a goalkeeper to put crosses in, it's not really in his remit.

I see the Glum Club are out for a Sunday moan.

We were told we wouldn't sign anybody once the Early-Bird had finished yet up pop Samuel, Caddis and & Nuttall for a combined fee of £500k plus wages. Then Nyambe sings a new deal after being told he'd be sold.

We know from the Posh chairman we offered more than Lincoln for Bostwick but that the player went to Lincoln for family reasons.

If we have a current Scottish International who doesn't want to play in League 1 then what can the club do?. Mowbray says he doesn't want to sell apparently but if Mulgrew wants out then he'll probably go. As long as we replace Mulgrew with someone who can defend equally well then it wouldn't be the end of the world. If we sell everyone with any ability and don't replace them then everyone on here will be @#/? off. Has that happened in this window yet? No.

Mowbray has already said we're short on numbers so bids will be going in all over place. Let's see where we are when the window shuts.

No offence meant here but certain people said we wouldnt sign anyone before July but we did. Same people said we wouldnt sign anyone after the season ticket early bird offer ended. Same people said the elton john concert wouldnt happen. It did.

We currently have a manager who has proper organised Recruitment plan and is being allow to implent it

You just can't resist the personal digs against other fans can you Stuart???

Obviously ignoring the fact the guy was that poor last season he ended up being dropped for a rookie. One of the weakest keepers I've ever seen at Ewood.

Agents run the press as well but hey if it helps get rid of him for money so be it we can't have it all ways I suppose but it's a bit insulting to see him wrote about like he's the next big thing.

Ok, did not know we paid a fee for Gladwin.

Chaddy, point scoring as usual. After the last 7 years, its understandable that many of us will be very skeptical of our owners - can you not understand that? We have all said that we're impressed with how things are going at the moment and are optimistic of a good season if we can hold onto our key players. However, with these sheisters in charge, you never know what they're going to do next.

Anyhow, lets just see where we stand when the window shuts - still plenty of time for them to cash in.

I should imagine when weighing up spending expenditure certain people may have had improved terms to there contracts already in addition to what has already been spent on all the incomings. Looking at the bigger picture.

Mowbray on Samuel, the squad and future transfers in.

"I think the team’s coming together, but I do feel to finish it off we need some speed and some athleticism at the top end of the pitch, which will hurt and damage the opposition at times. Dominic is a part of that and hopefully we’ll add some more as we go along.”

And others will be on reduced terms having had wage cuts included into the contract should relegation occur.
