Absolutely. I'm happy with the starting 11, but the bench lacks firepower, for sure.

And there I was thinking the bench looks stronger than it did at any point last season.

Nyambe was appalling? really?

I seen most of his games and he was decent at worst

How many games of Nyambe did you see Live? Please explain why he was appalling then?

Ignore him. He's had a few too many Pimms at the Country Club.

Haha, you may be right. I'd feel happier with an out-and-out forward on there, though.

Strong bench that in the midfield areas. Short of a striker and a CD who isn't Ward.

Rover could line up 4-2-3-1 formation

                    Raya

Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Williams

          Smallwood Whittingham

Samuel       Dack     Bennett

                 Graham

That'd be my preferred formation with that 11. Forget the three at the back for now.

15 minutes to go before kickoff and fifty four years after I started supporting Rovers I come back for another season hopeful. It's the first day of the football season. It's what most football fans clutch at in spite of everything that gets thrown at us

come on Mowbray's Rovers. Make my day⚽️⚽️

He was abysmal. No positional thought, ponderous in his mind I.e should he go forward or back which meant being caught out and balls played over the top in the room he left behind usually meaning Lenihan was dragged out and CBs being exposed. Couldn't cross, half and half in a tackle, didn't dare to head a ball or if he did it usually went 20ft straight above him. He was poor chaddy.

Hopefully a league drop and its lack of quality gives him a platform to find his confidence and kick on now as he has attributed like pace, stamina to succeed at full back. Mowbray being a defender hopefully has worked with him

how many games did you see?

Sorry I have disagree with you massively. seen plenty of him winning headers but clearly your view from the Country club or zoo was better than mine from inside of the ground.

Yup. There's no goals on the bench.  Judgement out on new lad.

you don't score goals on the bench, I would always prefer my goal scorers to be on the pitch

You can still get 31/20 for a Rovers' win.  Think those odds are very generous.  26/1 for a 3-1 win and 66/1 for a 4-1 win.  Money to be made here.

8/1 DG to score twice.

100/1 DG first goal and 4-1

Usual BRFC extreme difference of opinion.

He was neither abysmal nor good.

Mediocre with spells of promise would be more fair

Ian Dowie just said on Sky Sports that we'll struggle in this league

Ugly comment from an ugly man.

The man can hardly string a sentence together, I'd put no value in his opinion.

its seems like it the 4-2-3-1 formation and line up I posted before according to BBC Radio Lancs and Rich Sharpe

The Rich Sharpe one you posted was 3-4-1-2 wasn't it?. I hope is a flat back 4
