If these Stoke players are some of the same ones I watched St Pauli humping 4-2 the other week , they ain't up to much.  That side had 4 or 5 more well known names in as well.

Young defence but it will be worrying if the midfield / strikers we have on the pitch can't bag against Stoke U23's

Game been ok.  Some decent movement.  Our 2 full backs look decent. Tomlinson lively as is Chapman.  Graham looked knackered after 40 min.

Family stand pretty much full. Rest of ground closed. Stoke have brought about 50 - JWL.

Really wish we'd have put the U23s out. Some needless risks taken tonight. Hope Williams isn't too bad. Whittingham is looking like a poor buy on the evidence this season and even tonight not great.

Apart from that we've been lively and attacking. Both wings and even centrally, with Chapman and Tomlinson looking to attack and Feeney trying to. The older guard have been most disappointing. Let's hope for better in the second half and maybe Nuttall getting on.

Something odd with Wharton just like last season he isn't getting a sniff in the first team. You can bet your last dollar if he goes on loan after Thurs he'll be straight into a first team with these mystery knocks all gone again.
