The compensation we’d have paid at the end of the season would include a 20% sell on clause as standard - I’m assuming that will be the percentage included in this deal. 1 Quote
RV Blue Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Would be strange if he goes straight out on load after that announcement. Quote

Ossydave Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Mowbray said he's not even fit enough to go out on loan so he won't be featuring for a while, or going out on loan like people have been saying 1 Quote
HowieFive0 Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 “Harry’s got attributes and assets that our team will utilise moving forward," the boss revealed to iFollow Rovers after clinching his first signing of the January transfer window. “He has blistering speed on the transition, can run past a man one on one and create opportunities for us. “He’s still only young, he’s only 21, but he hasn’t played as much football as he’d have liked in his career. “I like what he brings, that’s why he’s here. I work with him every day and I know that youthfulness. “The key is to use his attributes at the right moments. “He needs to do a lot of work on his body, so I don’t think we’ll see him for a while. I don’t think he’s even fit enough to go out on loan. We will be getting him ready for the intensity to play for us. “I’m delighted he’s here and here for the long-term. Let’s not rush him, so when he is right he can contribute at his maximum." 1 Quote

bluebruce Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 If he might not even go on loan while we work on his fitness and conditioning, the u-23s are about to be ridiculous. 1 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Absolutely over the moon with Chappers coming back as long as he hasn't been brought in simply to sit on the bench or go out on loan. Once match fit, could you imagine Chapman and BA in tthe starting line up? We'd look a completely different proposition and the play offs wpuld become a realistic possibility as opposed to a bit of a pipe dream. 1 Quote
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Obviously whether this is a good signing will depend on his fitness. I fear that he will always be prone to hamstring injuries. However - what a player to have on the bench. His cameos last season were outstanding - if he can repeat we will have a star on our hands. Quote

He's not gonna be match fit is he, doesn't LOOK in awful shape though, bit skinny if anything but he was never muscle bound. He'll be good for a few cameos before ya know it Quote
jim mk2 Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 (edited) Mowbray....... “He needs to do a lot of work on his body, so I don’t think we’ll see him for a while. I don’t think he’s even fit enough to go out on loan." So we can forget about Chapman for this season then Another one for the "future" and absolutely no help to the possible promotion push. Disappointing Edited January 28, 2019 by jim mk2 Quote
Proudtobeblue&white Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 According to his interview in the LT, he's fit! He seems genuinely happy to be back, said really positive things about our club, and I wish him well. Young, time to heal, I'm sure TM will nurse him. Impact sub, step up to the PL next season! Quote

Disappointing For the season? He has played games for Boro this season - recently in fact. Is he fit to be starting regularly? Perhaps not but come on man, no need to put a dampener on this. 1 Quote

Very smart man management by Mowbray. Reassures the side which slaughtered Hull, keeps Conway hopeful and throws down a challenge to Chapman. Pulis always kept Stoke players whippet fit if I remember correctly so I doubt he is doing any different at Boro. That said the medical staff might have a different view on conditioning to avoid injuries. 1 Quote
