Travis is a big part of our latest purple patch. Just love the way his first thought is to get the ball forward. That run into their box past three of their players is something you'll never see a Smallwood or Evans do.

Yes and Travis' energy and box to box play leaves Evans to economise his own stamina, sitting deeper and picking off attacks.

Looking good for Chapman's return.

Good news especially because:

- enhances club morale and spirit

- we won't have signed him if his pace has gone and pace means more space for everyone in Championship football because of preventing teams pressing en bloc. Very clear Adkins had set up Hull to neutralise us rather than play their high pressing game which played right into our hands. Having Arma and Reed as speedsters with Chapman off the bench or a fabulous back up for injuries makes Rovers a potent threat.

- Crowd pleaser. If he doesn't bring missing fans back, what will?

Venkys selling?

Couple of good assists there for Chapman... for Britt Assombalonga. Pulis must be mad if he sell us these two when we're 3 points behind.

Not sure how Boro are in a position to be demanding big sell on clauses.

Maybe for a lower transfer fee to make the deal happen and get him off their books

Transfer fee surely isn't that high anyway?

It's what the club will want a local journo to hear though when letting one of their best young players go for a pittance.

Would they have been due compensation, including a sell on fee, should he have left in the summer when his contract was up as he’s only 21? Could be a reason.

Correct. Would have to pay them regardless, the tribunal fee in the summer could be more than a transfer fee now seeing as it is based of previous experience + future potential.

To be fair, if he was ours, you would expect us to negotiate at least a 20% sell on clause.

Buy back and sell on ?

We wouldn't have agreed to that. We'd have waited til summer if they'd asked for anything stupid like that.

That Boro forum seemed to suggest they were inserting a buy back clause but surely they wouldn't get away with both unless the fee is a pittance.
