davulsukur Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 As soon as he picked up the injury, I knew it was going to keep him out for a while. A player we really need and it’s just our luck he’s gets badly injured. Gutted. Quote

It's another modern football phenomenon. I recall Francis having a career threatening ruptured Achilles. I saw a picture of the scars during his rehabilitation. Nowadays it would probably be done by laser. My point is Shankly suspected that Francis would be prone to these sorts of injuries throughout his career and he was right. Quote

He's leading our assists chart with 3 and he never plays. Says it all about Mowbray's approach. http://www.espnfc.co.uk/english-league-one/25/statistics/assists . I see Tony McMahon for Bradford is second on the chart. Wasn't there talks of signing him during the summer? Pity we didn't. Quote

Vinjay Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 From Middlesbrough's point of view (or at least the one they ought to have) one of their assets has been treated with clear neglect. To an extent by refusing to utilise him more but its even worse when there's incompetence from Mowbray Magoo and the medics. Considering the obvious connection in management they should be feeling extremely let down by the neglect from someone they know so well. Quote

Bigdoggsteel Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Anyone in the under 23s who could step up? Harper even? Silver linings and all that Quote
Mercer Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Think it's strange that this injury still hasn't been reported on properly on either Rovers' website or LT. Feels like there's some worse news than expected coming our way. Quote
Bigdoggsteel Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 So he got a scan from our specialist of choice and was then sent (or recalled) by Boro to see their specialist. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept him there. Quote

Mowbray trying to make out he was just 'dipping' him in before he unleashed him....and saying Harry will be back to get us 'over the line. Mowbray is full of shit. Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Terrible news. I suspect thats our season over as well unless Nuttall proves the salvation. Quote
alcd Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Continually bringing on an explosive player as a substitute after an hour sitting on a bench is asking for trouble. 3 Quote

Any future involvement this season 'in the balance'. Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Ties in with Mowbray talking a lot recently about bringing somebody in with pace during January. Sounds one of the worst hamstring injuries that I can recall - usually it’s a 3-4 month (ish) job for a hamstring operation and recovery isn’t it? Quote
Rogerb Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Strange how things work out. The injury to Chapman results in the 4-2-3-1 formation and six wins on the bounce. 1 Quote

We played also it during Chapmans only start of the season and won 3-0. Quote

Without being unduly pessimistic as soon as I heard he was having an operation I thought we'll not see much of him again this season. That's a serious injury for a footballer. Quote
Husky Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Sounds even worse than that other Hamstring problem we used to have. Not good enough for Groundhog Gaz's Rovers yet good enough for the Premier League. Quote

That was when I thought he'd be back playing when he got the injury but I may be out a few weeks. Starting training again after that length of time out of the game means we may only see him in the last half dozen games. Lets hope a serious warm up procedure is in place for him when he does eventually get a game. Quote

Pulis will want 6 foot monsters in the side. Quote
