Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted September 30, 2017 Moderation Lead Posted September 30, 2017 Feel like it should have been Smallwood, but Bennett did very well first half, then seemed to suffer when moved into a random unnatural position!
blueboy3333 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Bennett for his first half display. Disappeared 2nd half when ToMo did his tactics Tombola and moved everybody round. Smallwood a close 2nd simply because he held it all together when it inevitably went a bit Pete Wrong.
Doug Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Mulgrew, head and shoulders above the rest IMO.
JBiz Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Smallwood for me also. Why he moved Bennett to a defensive midfield role, when Whittingham look assured first half, AND Evans on the bench. Bizarre that one
bazza Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Whittingham looked poor playing out of position on the right when Bennett was moved into the middle to provide the energy needed when Dack went off. Peter Jackson MOM was correct IMO.
Backroom Madon Posted September 30, 2017 Backroom Posted September 30, 2017 Raya for me, apart from the very near mistake when Mulgrew stupidly played it back I thought he was outstanding today. A couple of fantastic saves Infront of the Darwen End in the second half to prevent Gillingham equalising. I think we have a very, very exciting young goalkeeper in Raya. I predict he'll be worth millions in a few years, fingers crossed we can keep hold of him!

His kicking was really poor but he made three outstanding saves so definitely earnt his money. There was a save at the Blackburn End where he blocked a goal and he was really brave to throw himself in front of some big oaf.

If you look at De Gea when he first came to England he was a little dodgy at first but look at him now.
mhead Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Bennett on Tuesday. Raya on Saturday. And Charlie Mulgrew always!
windymiller7 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Nice to see Ben gladwin's mum & dad have joined the forum!
